The hood mentality was too ingrained in everyone invovled. The money couldn't fix the ignorance.
It’s a lot of factors not just ignorance, there’s also the fact of most poor people having some form of mental issues either because of or unrelated to poverty but unable to get help for it so they wile out to fulfill the death urge all teens have. Nobody is telling them that they’re supposed to kill their childhood and begin their lives, they’re being told to ride out and earn respect by killing real people or committing hella crimes. There’s the need to fit in and be respected as masculine because idk if you’ve ever lived in the hood but you don’t wanna be known as a bitch, that’s setting yourself up to get fucked with. There’s a lot of peer pressure in that environment and the bad things you get peer pressured or even groomed into doing are super fucking bad and can seriously fuck up your life before you’re even 18
@@bigcheese2128 wait - did you really just say most poor people mental issues!?
@@rosalind1635 statistically yes because they are less able to get mental health treatment or maintain stable employment. It’s not a disrespect towards them or anything it’s not their fault
@@bigcheese2128 There is no such statistic that supports what you said. Do you know what the word most means? It means more than half so atleast 51%. So you're claiming that atleast 51% of poor people have mental issues which is completely ridiculous.
People give Vanilla Ice a hard time for signing over the song, but money ain't worth your life. He had no choice.
Yeah I think a lot of ppl don’t understand what a different time that was as well and ultimately how much pull the mafia & gangs really had at that time , they meant buisness but in todays world with social media an such artist getting smarter/ taking more control an such things are just different but back than you couldn’t do anything without a label on your side
Smart man@Vanilla Ice.
I never talked about Vanilla Ice giving up his rights to "Ice Ice Baby" he used his head instead of loose his head!!!
I still listen to ice ice baby
Right? What was he gonna say? “N***a f**k you “?
He was a menace, bully, and non-team player historically from the looks of this video! No surprise he ended up locked away…energy will be Matched!
Karma!
Great
“Suge Shenanigans” is probably the best/funniest line I’ve heard describing him 😂didn’t hear the vid for like 30 secs while I was laughing
u made me look up boss man i never knew about him
Seems to be the shadiest characters were all the Jews 🤷
As usual
Running over those men was so unnecessary. He backed off and could have driven off if he thought he was in trouble. Terrible crime.
CEO to inmate. 🤡
Shiii happens
*"Straight Outta C̷|Bompton"*
Their name is The Dogg Pound not Dogg food! smh. Dogg food is the name of the album. You must not know much about Deathrow until you researched and made the video.
And ridiculously amazing sh*t happens..
Malkavali will be his last album
30:53 Why is he holding a Yu-Gi-Oh! card? lol
Oh, shit.. it's time to duel.
Tupac changed drastically when he met Suge, and when he got out of prison due to a false rape charge. He was pissed off, and he had every right to be. He became more violent, was way more mouthy than he used to be, and acted like a gangster when in reality that's not who he was. He was playing a character, and I believe that if he wasn't around his huge entourage that night in Vegas, he wouldn't have ever started that fight, and he wouldn't have been murdered that night either.
He was set up and got shot 5 times, then went to prison for a crime he didn't commit. What would you have done if it was u??
@@martinkesebonye7849I agree with you. He was totally set up. And honestly, if it was me that got set up and shot, I probably would have retaliated if I had nothing to lose. But that's just me. He got caught up in so much that he had to get back at the crip in the MGM after the Tyson fight. He didn't want to look the other way because of the pressure on him to look and act like a thug. He beat the shit out of that crip along with his entourage that night, then it lead to his murder. If he hadn't met Suge, he'd still be alive. That's only my opinion.
@@DontShineForSwine Pac was set up dat night n Vegas too. Reggie Wright set Suge n Pac up cuz he wanted Death Row
@@savel-oe3lx Search for Orange Soda’s Revenge here on RUclips and just be open minded . For example, the last photo of 2Pac was shot by a guy that’s a Hollywood special effects professional . Only one bullet hole penetrated the door inside . An actress did an interview with a fake news outlet and said he was taken by a helicopter . Minimal blood inside car . Case is still open.. just too many questions and weird stuff .
He didn’t change. He just got worse.
Hate how death row ended up. Suge fuccd up a good thing and in a lot of ways is responsible for 2 of hiphops best dying too soon. Suge and e both should've done Dre right and pac should've just kept it music and movies
Yup had a license to print money and he fucked it up!
He messed with Puffy 🃏🃏🃏
Tupac was to blame for his own death.
The problem with Suge is he got to egotistical. He brought the streets to his place of business which is a no no.
His Business was rooted in music for the streets though..it was bound to cross up
@@BadTV1993 He didn't have to. Ruthless also was rooted in music for the streets, but Eazy-E never participated directly in gang activity, unlike Suge and that was his demise.
@@BadTV1993 How often did that happen in the music industry. Suge hired Bloods for security that made him fill untouchable. Other artist feared Suge Knight & Death Row. Not Puff his Security was Gangster's from New York streets. Ready go at anytime against Suge security.
@@Frankford. @Darrah 4720 Shug messed with, underrated, and thought Puffy was weak. Tupac came hard with hit 'em up. Now Puffy/Biggie reproduced males/females, which live on as part of our gene pool. Tupac, not so much. In short, those looking the weakest can become the Billionaire: the Puffy, the Snoops, Jay Z, the Kanye Wests
@@james_smith9 Definitely that's the Main & Only reason Suge hated Puff.
He made the ultimate mistake. He made it out the hood and then tried to bring the hood life to his business. You can help out the hood once you’re successful, but you have to learn to live your new life, you can’t keep moving the same way or things go this way. Suge could’ve been up there with jay z mogul wise.
Thats the thing, mogul wise he aint there, thats why he fucked it all up.
Bruh… Suge Wasss The Streets Lmfao 😂 He Was The Problem , Everywhere He Went He Intimated or Threatened Someone Out Their Pockets Or Position He Was Ruthless
He was like a 3 time felon for some crazy stuff one was for manslaughter or attempted murder or somethin, an list goes on he’s in jail for running someone over this last time an they hit him with everything else I think
Suge had to leave that hood mentality in the streets, business wise, bad direction he was going !!
Faaaaaacts
As tragic as Pac's death was,you live by the sword-you die by the sword, you keep living the gangsta life and it'll catch up with you, they were on top of the world but couldn't leave the hood stuff alone
At the end of the day, you’re either a record company CEO/Businessman OR you’re a gangster. You can’t be both. Sug, Puff, Henchmen, and even J Prince seem to think these two things go together. They don’t. If you want to be the next John Gotti then you’d probably should lay low and run rackets like all the other crime bosses in the world 🤷🏾♂️
True
This is one of the pieces of advice our father who was a Compton Blood turned pastor. You can't be corporate and still gang-banging. One has to give in. The best you can be is a corporate gangster who fights intellectual battles.
Suge is that snotty nosed kid, that'll ask a stranger if he can play games on their phone.
What the he'll are you talking about?
You made no sense in your comment
The Don King of the music industry
May he rott in prison he had it all and threw it all away you can take the girls outta the trailer park but you can't take the trailer park outta the girl
A lot of these 911 operators are out of hand. They hire the most miserable people alive to fill those positions

Nice documentary. I don't think Suge was that intelligent, intellect wise.. He made sure he could never be pinned. Meaning he led people who didn't know any better do the dirty work and toss them after. I think in the media he just attributed other people's qualities witnessed at meetings to make himself look even more important than he really was. Some may call that shark behavior... and he used intimidation obviously.
He was cunning
So how does that not suggest intelligence? To arrange and and use the leverage he had at his disposal...
@@kerosene7489 ofc not5. It's criminal.
@@kerosene7489 Intelligent people don’t end up in, or return to, jail/prison.
Emotional people do.
@@77Creation to correlate whether or not someone is intelligent to if they have or haven't ended up in prison is ridiculous. There are some men who are literal geniuses who ended up in prison; ever heard of white collar criminals? All it takes is to get caught one time and you can end up in prison; that doesn't mean the person wasn't smart.
Who cares!!!!! Some people don't know when they got it good. He brought all this ish on himself! Good luck to you Suge!
What the fuck does ish mean? The fuck is that shit? We sure didn't speak like that in the 90s...
Why are watching this then if you don't care?
All he had to do is running his company behind his desk! Let the contracts pouring in , he didn't need to men handle stuff which eventually caught up with him I guess. Shame
SUGE KNIGHT SINGLE HANDEDLY DESTROYED DEATH ROW! Tell me otherwise!
Suge tore it down brick by brick!!!
5:10 Suge saying he wanted to run a business with family and all that made me laugh. SO i guess beating up rappers and producers and making them sit on the ground and drink the peed from dudes pissing on him is an interesting family dynamic! Don’t think Id want to go to his family Thanksgiving if its like that lol!
The night Snoop was at the MTV awards, he wasn't presenting an award, he was performing. That he performed "Murder Was The Case That They Gave Me". When he finished his performance, he said, "I'm innocent!" Then the police got him backstage
I would understand these charges if this happens in the parking lot of the movie studio! Shug Knight left the property as requested, and these people followed him and confronted him after leaving the property! Suge Knight has done some shady things in the past absolutely and I'm not even sticking up for him I just hate when I see people get found guilty just because you make that person look bad. And you know what I always talk. Smack about the criminal justice system and it's deserved but it's actually us because we're the Jerry members that vote guilty every single freaking time! It's sad
🇺🇸💪🏻👊🏻🤙🏼
Gotta remember ya goal and not get lost along the way like so many of us do
Just a bully, that's all, no more no less.
Oh, so you know Suge personally?
@@coleaydeesixxx have you replied to every other comment with that?
@@jackbrown4120 You don't get to ask me nothing. Nobody is talking to you. You're dismissed.
Great documentary! Well researched and presented.
Suge Knight could have done wonders in the music industry which would have brought him further success in other areas of business. His drive and grit would have made him 10X more successful than Diddy and Jay-Z, but too bad his ego and need to keep it real/hood led him down a dark path. It's a shame!
He stole Dre's business and didn't create anything by himself. He also worked with Crip's in the name of money. He wasn't "hood" like people think he is
geshseh
if by research you mean google copy and paste then LOLLLLL
A criminal attitude , the envy of any Mafia enforcer. His place in prison is best for all of society.
Suge had this side to him that seemed sincere and righteously wanted to help and do the right thing (even though it was usually for his benefit) but he let that power and ego do his dealings and in the end Suge is a locked up thug and nothing more but I don't think we've seen or heard the last of SUGE KNIGHT
😂 half of this is false. Especially Abt football. He enjoyed the entertainment part of management, he enjoyed it. He really wasn't big on football. He was big on betting on it 😂. He turned down that football offer. The bobby brown thing was somewhat different do more research. That's how rumors start. He was making MORE money on the street than what the NFL was offering. Please do your homework. Now I know most of you are saying how you know? Cause I knew him. He was a cool dude. He was raised in a good family and had(have) successful parents. Raised in a good atmosphere. His mom was Abt that money tho she didn't play! Bless her heart! . Honestly, if you were a good RUclipsr you would of known suge parents would of done a interview lol. These bloggers.
Damn I didn’t know the dude suge killed was the dude from Training day! Damn Suge
He ain't kill Bone blood he ran over his friend Terry Carter
Mario Chocolate was not a prominent west coast artist hahhaha
Who??
What i learned from death rows story is that if your not in control of your emotions specifically (anger) life will not go in your favor.
Yeah. He should’ve taken after Dre.
@@IkennaKonkwo2-lz8lj Dre was beating women, though. He also fell victim to his anger. He was just lucky enough to continue his career nearly unscathed.
Suge know a lot i mean all...i mean set up...
He was just a big f’ing bully!!!! He deserves everything he gets!!!!
Until the barber knocked his ass out
Eazy-E wasn't scared of Suge when he encountered him. He knew what Suge and his people were about
Pure evil
39:30 Lol it’s not the duo “Dogg Food” releasing “Tha Dogg Pound”. Dogg Pound is the duo and Dogg Food is the name of their first album
3:15… you’re doing a great job on the bum video💯… but you messed up just one thing so far… but that dude got caught up in the cross tire💯🥴😉
I can’t get over those photos of Suge w Jheri curls 😂.
Well put together documentary. Great job. - New Subscriber
Thank u
Suge favors ran out over a decade and all caught up with him as we see now. Smh so much potential for the business and community. This what greed and legal industry can do someone life.
Doesn’t snoop now own death row and it’s Catalogue as he wanted his masters
What I find very funny is you claim you have this video of the incident but you won't show it on RUclips come on you got to do better than that
violence is against tos no??
Without vanilla ice there would be no death row
Say what you want about suge, but he made the business side of rap music just as entertaining as the music.
How TF is Suge still alive? 🤷🏽♂️
Nobody brave enough to kill him
He was too tough for me.. If he had a different heart with pure intentions his outcome with life would’ve been better
If Suge had a "different heart with pure intentions" Death Row records would never exist! No Dr. Dre and "The Chronic". No Snoop Dogg and "Doggystyle", no Tupac and "All Eyes On Me".
Totally missed Deep Cover soundtrack. Also, Deray is a liar and groupie. His inclusion messed up this documentary
Definitely liked the D.O.C. He had good music. That was many years ago I was 11 years old when his album came out. Pushing 45 now.
I had D.O.C. tape back n da dey
I had dat tape back when I was 10 or 11 to but I really ain't like it but now goin back it's Dope
Never forgive Suge for killing Eazy E
Can't really call pacs death untimely. He did everything he could on a daily basis to ensure exactly what happened.

Death Row had a great run in the music industry…..
He ain’t kill biggie he killed hisself goin got back back to CALI CALI
They were here for a good time not a long time
Imagine if Suge would have just left the ghetto stuff alone off the music, and just talked about it in the music. They might still be rolling and Suge would be a billionaire? He was doing the shit they were talking about though, that was his downfall.
Suge's name would be mentioned in the same conversation as P. Diddy and Jay Z!
Suge knight got 360 the evil he gave put the race is not given to the fast or the strong its to those who endure to the end
Tupac should have stayed in prison but i do understand being behind those walls can be mentally draining. Tupac shouldve just did the artist thing instead of the gang banging route. Pac and big should've talked
It's sad that Easy and Jerry ( maybe Easy was naive) was biting Dre then Suge straightens it out then Suge bites Dre and Snoop then Snoop bites his artists ( allegedly) just a bad cycle of greed in that business..and then Suge had the nerve to talk about family and unity blah blah
Why is "reselling books" in college considered an example of bad behavior?
Nobody ever explained to suge knight that he had a 🧠 and should use it for thinking but unfortunately he used his 💪 for that 😕 😔 😞
Wooo that history!! Best time to be a fan, despite all of the behind the scene stuff. Love that!! Hope The Snoop's Deathrow will succeed!!

Can’t do any worse than his FazeClan investment lmfao. He lost like 3.6 million or some ridiculous amount. His fazeclan chain is worth more than fazeclan itself
He already took all the classic death row albums off streaming although I think the chronic is back on Spotify now but still no doggystyle

Just cause you wear a red t shirt, carry a gun and know a few bloods doesn't mean you are a blood. Suge craved that street life that most people would do anything to escape. He had a better home life than what i did ffs or so they say in these documentaries. Its more gangsta to stay on the grind and become a successful business man. Now look where hes at, when he could have changed the music industry.

Good advice about not taking the cash for ice ice baby upfront but waiting for the royalties instead. I wonder what Suge saw in that record...
Remember the DOC on the 20 dollar sack pyramid
How come they havent made a Suge movie??
Enjoyed this, but the cadence and the need to go up or trail off at the end of a sentence like it's a news bulletin gets very frustrating.

very untrue that the longer you wait to turn yourself in the guiltier you appear. Cops and DA will want to make a case asap and if you have the chance to speak to an attorney and turn yourself in on your terms you do it. I know people who had cases dismissed by grand juries that were clear self defense but the DA and cops wanted to press charges. He also didnt turn himself in right away luckily.
He had David kenner as a lawyer that man was a genius and DR had a lot of money.
