After watching several seasons and seeing group after group, I'm surprised that an aggressive maintenance program isn't adopted.
Because there would be no show.
it is difficult to get manpower, down time costs money, the costs of everything (parts, fuel, shipping) is 2-3 times what you would pay on the "outside" . So it can be cheaper to run the equipment till it quits than to fix/maintain it during the short summer, and when it freezes it is @#$%^&* cold. the record cold in Yukon is -82f

@@carolynlongville7051 I Love Parker, but sometimes he has some very brusque attitudes towards his employees. I know his responsability is big, but he need his employees for mining success. Brennan will be really missed by the time.
With equipment prices, repairs, fuel prices, cost of the land to mine, it seems like trying to make any profit is so slim. Like everything must be in order 110% to barely keep everything going….?🤷
