Fr dude. It aggravates me cuz you'll have phenomenal songs lyrically like Omerta in my opinion.. no one can get past the growling in the song or any of their songs and I get it I was that way when I first heard Lamb of God. But once you actually focus on the lyrics the shit is beautiful

people be sleeping on metal like some folks sleep on non-mainstream hip-hop/rap. The beats, the lyrics, the talent just hit different. Metal and Hip-hop are so similar its insane. They come from a background of anger, frustration, and a need to release ones emotions.

Although he's not "new", since he's been dropping albums for fifteen plus years, check out Hopsin if you haven't heard of him already. He's the only other rapper that I feel could compete on Eminem's level. He has a few songs with Tech, so you may have already heard of him. After checking him out, check out Tom MacDonald and Dax. They're both lyrical rappers that represent what hip-hop used to be. Enjoy! 🤘😁🤘

@@cnett486 Yeah, Hopsin is in that. I had almost forgotten about that feature actually! I wouldn't say that showcases any of Hopsin's abilities, however. To begin your Hopsin experience, I would definitely recommend "Ill Mind of Hopsin 5". That song is easily the most 'real' song ever written of any genre... It's like Hopsin is holding up a mirror to society and shining light on the major faults of most of our youth that lead them all into a negative downward spiral, but that none of us truly want to admit. It delivers the truth in a brutal manner which allows the listener to not only realize those downfalls, but explains clearly how easily it is to not succumb to those repeating issues by simply making smart decisions before it's too late to do so. It's a very genius piece of music, to say the least. He doesn't really have any weak tracks throughout his catalog of albums, but that song specifically is a great example of his tremendous talents and abilities.

Lamb of God practically invented the wall of death, and as someone who's seen these guys in person several times at venues, I promise you the mosh pits are insane. I second picking something from the Ashes of the Wake album to review, but I only ask that you do a live version. These guys sound exactly the same in person as they do on albums and their life shows are INCREDIBLE!
Dude once I was at a lamb of god concert in an amphitheater. There was a pit in the front, seats behind, and the cheap grass tickets. And they went so hard people lit a bonfire in the grass section and we all moshed around it 😂

It's also about Randy getting sober, "too many voices and I hear their relentless voices" and "a universe in the palm of your hand" are about alcohol and his cravings to go back to it
The energy of their live shows is something you have to experience. It's epic!
Dude I went to one of their shows where I live and it was my first actually metal concert with a moshpit, my first time experiencing a moshpit I got into about 4 fights through only their part of the set💀💀

First of all this is my first time watching your reactions and you're killing it my man! Lamb of God are basically Metal royalty and this is their newest release. Funny thing is, you talked about the growling, there lead singer Randy Blythe never intended to be in a metal band but he naturally had that ability to growl so it just happened that way. Not sure if you cared, just giving some background because I'm a big fan of this band. Keep killing it!

theyre hardly underrated. LoG is easily considered one of the bigger metal bands of their generation (2000's onward) and are pretty much universally liked and respected by the community.

As someone who's interviewed both Randy (vocals) and Mark (guitar), I can say they are some of the most down to earth people I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. Randy was the most relaxed, Cali surfer-dude to ever come out of Virginia and Mark was so humble about everything, even his own solo project. 10/10, if you want to get into some good thrash/groove metal with good people all around, Lamb of God is the band to go for

I really appreciate reactions like these. I've been all rock and all metal my entire life and seeing other people step into our genre inspired me to step into other genres myself. Must say I have a lot of respect for XXXTentacion, J Cole and Kendrick Lamar for the hip hop I've listened to. Was also cool to find out me and J Cole are the same age and grew up about 30 minutes away from each other.
