My last Tele-skis were Salomon X-Scream (yes, the yellow one!), which I bought in Bergen, Norway, i August 1998. Now I am too weak to do tele with much grace, I am afraid, so its alpine all the way….

Glad you like it! In your opinion what gives it that North American style? I know what you mean on the different styles in each zone/country but just curious what you see. Cheers -Madsen

Look how fat the skis are!😮
I learned to tele with single leather boots in the 90s!
Kazama outback soft, simple three pin bindings! These look effortless.

Same here! I actually really like the Outback and pins. This particular equipment is definitely a different vintage, but still the same beautiful turn.
I ski vintage gear quite a bit and will be posting some more videos this season in case you like that stuff as well. You might get a kick out of this one though in the meantime.

Hey question for you, for your skis do you prefer a ski with a zippy short turning radius or more of a rocker out ski. New to tele skiing and my gut says a tight turning radius but I’m not sure what skis to mount up.

Really depends on what type of skiing you want to do just like alpine. General answer is that a more traditional camber with some early tip rise is a good place to start. Medium radius. Hope that helps - Madsen
