Minor Swing - Jesse Blue Eads ft. Willow Osborne

In September 2023, Willow and I recorded probably an hour or so of jamming. I love how something so casual and relaxed for us turned out to be an excellently candid time capsule for the ways we expressed ourselves for what feels so long ago. People tend to simplify themselves and others with narrow characterizations, when in reality we're all constantly learning, changing, and never really fitting one bill all the time, while also inevitably forming a personality that can be understood beyond superficial adjectives.
These recordings amaze me with just how different we sound, how our intentions and mannerisms have developed, and how easy it is to enjoy that process now.
So much of the beauty of structured improvisatory music is how vividly it reflects the performer's feelings in that moment, in that period of life, in that situation. Or maybe just what we were listening to haha.
