- Here's my updated voice reel showing off just my Sonic voice. As you can tell it's heavily based on Jason Griffith's version as that's the voice I grew up with. Feel free to let me know what you think!

your jason sonic is REALLY good, better than mine for sure lmao, but it could seriously be less aggressive at times lol
I appreciate it! When it comes to the aggressiveness, what parts are you referring to? Cause certain lines are purposely meant to be aggressive.
@@KoiKittenVA now that you bring it up that kinda makes a lot more sense, but i hear it especially in the purposefully cocky or shout-y lines, for normal sonic ofc

There's a Sonic-esque vibe to it and the speech mannerism does sound distinctly Jason Griffith (which I think is funny since that mannerism is what made Jason Griffith infamous up until 2007-2008, but I guess people like it now).
That said, it sounded like you were doing your own version of the WereHog voice the whole time. Or slowly transitioning to it. By the time you did the WereHog voice I THINK you made it more growly, but it was hard to tell because it was very similar the whole way through. I'm not sure if that's just how your voice is when trying to do Sonic or if it was a stylistic choice, or if it was meant to sound somewhat like an original voice simply based on Sonic. Some would say this is a decent direction of Scourge though, Sonic's evil doppelgänger. (At the time of this writing, you can see Scourge in the Avatar of one of the comments here. lol) I assume this might also be on purpose given some of your other videos I just saw.
I appreciate the feedback. After the “whoas” I did two lines as Darkspine Sonic and then the werehog lines which is what I think confused you on the “transition”.
@@KoiKittenVA Yeah. It started getting quite rough a little prior to some of the Sonic 06 lines. Again, fitting for Scourge. A few lines prior to that were only rough at the end of the sentences when yelling.
It kinda makes me think of how Kirk Thorton sounds similar to David Humphrey but with a slight growl to his voice, where if he smoothened it out, it was sound a bit more faithful. It's good in its own way, but that would be my tip if it's something you're able to control.

@@Axxidous I mean the roughness IS part of how Jason does it. He has edge to his voice especially for more serious lines. When I recorded these I listened to the official voice lines and matched it to how they were said. If there was roughness then I added roughness. Only for a couple of lines did I go off the top of my head of what I remembered. But majority of the them are meant to be faithful to the official interpretation.
@@KoiKittenVA Then I believe you may not know what I am referring to. I’m only talking about the parts that don’t really sound like how Jason Griffith did it and sound more like a Scourge version of the line.
@@Axxidous I must be cause you said “prior” to the 06 lines but pretty much all of these are 06 lines apart from the last few. So I dont know what you’re referring to besides the Darkspine lines which are purposely rough as that’s how the voice is spoken.
So... are you gonna voice Raiden next? ;)
