Every time I get bored on my island, I just walk around randomly without any plan. Sometimes I find something to do or new projects that I can deal with throughout the day :)
I have played since launch. Have not missed a day. I keep playing if only because I play the game to HELP other players now. I have about 280 million bells, almost 1000 NMTs, and have everything that I need in the game already. So I collect my fruits every day, mine my rocks for items, and give them away to others - FOR FREE. I let people catalog stuff they need - FOR FREE. I don't charge for those things, because I have no need for additional wealth. Because it's good to be nice to others. Honestly, it's just nice to play a game where you don't need to kill others to win. It's good to play a game where you can JUST help others. I get my joy in the game now, JUST from helping others with things they need. It gives me a warm feeling in my soul to do so. That is what draws me to the game every single day. Sharing the love, helping others. :)

Here a long-term goal that's been keeping me busy for the past few months: Looking for the right items for a Ruinscore island. Yeah, Ruinscore isn't a thing, but it can be now!
I always buy waaay too many seasonal items and when I'm bored wrap some of them up with other stuff from my storage and maybe a real piece of art i already have in the museum and sell them as mystery grab bags on nookazon, its a nice thing to do and makes me feel organised
I’m a hardcore nookazon trader, hundreds of hours, tens of millions of bells, but even I sometimes loose interest. My recommendation is to try to fill your museum! Maybe even try to get artwork done of rare fish or bugs. The golden trout model is 100% worth it.
That happened to me in February and haven’t played until April, so didn’t know about the update so i was gonna see if i was missing out, and i was, so i started playing every day and it cleared out my mind, and if u think the game is boring, it may look boring but it relaxes you, so pls just give the game one more chance by playing the game, I’m telling you, you’ll love it.

I am a 51yr old grandma who purchased a switch just before Christmas so I could play with my daughter and grandbabies who were also getting switchs for christmas. I have in the past month logged waaaaay tooooo many hours on this game!! I have a 5 star island and am frustrated with the teraforming!! I'm thinking to accomplish the look and feel that I am going for it would be best to level my entire island and start from there. My question is....... has anyone experienced problems with the fish spawning in ponds after taking this drastic approach?? I notice certain fish spawn in a particular pond on my island and they do NOT in other spots so I'm really curious has anyone experienced this being an issue with deleting all water and creating your own?? I've only been playing for 2.5 months so I have a lot yet to learn.
I just got k.k slider to come to my island and I also unlock terraforming! I’m going to keep playing this game everyday because I want to see k.k and terraform on my island!! 🙂😇😜 the only thing I have to now is unlock Brewster! 🙂😜🤓
I'm attempting to collect every villager photo and poster, travel travelling helps but it's already kept me occupied for months and I'm only like a quarter of the way through. I also am trying to collect every item in the game (not including colour variants)

If I wasn't doing other things each day like checking the shops, it wouldng take very much time at all. Working on multiple villagers at once also speeds up the process. Still will take a long time to get every one though

Theres 2 ways to go about it: 1 buy the dlc for $25ish dollars 2 buy the expansion pack online membership for 80$ and get online for a year, the ac dlc, aswell as some snes titles as long as your online is active, i think.

When I get bored or need to take a break from building, I lowkey stalk a villager. LOL I watch what they do, who they talk to. Maybe even take pictures of cute moments. It reminds me why I have them on my island I'm the first place, adorable cuteness that makes me happy. ☺

It's kinda hard for me to get bored with NH thanks to the DLC. Whenever I'm done with some main/Harv's island activities (visiting shops, chatting with villagers, nook miles, Roost, decorating, etc, etc), I might decide to go to Paradise for work. It's a great change of pace from the main campaign. And if I get tired of Paradise, I just head back to the main island to finish up some stuff I haven't done yet. Once again, this changes the pace, thus reducing my chances of running into boredom.

What I do when I’m bored is simply just design clothing, it takes me a lot of time and it’s fun, plus, I create outfits for the season to hang on the Ables
Sometimes when I’m bored, I play as my daughter or husbands characters (they don’t play much). They have tons to do to expand their houses or fish to catch, etc. I might even get a different recipe I can mail myself.
I normally don’t get bored with animal crossing since I have other games to play when I get burnt out. I HIGHLY recommend Stardew Valley because if you’re like me and bored of the dialogue of your villagers, the townspeople in Stardew Valley have great personalities. And once you get to know some of the townspeople you can even marry them. I really like it because even though it’s like Animal Crossing where you can do whatever, it does have some goals to work towards, so you have some guidance. Also the junimos are adorable :)

i really just wish there was more of a literal expansion. maybe a smaller second island or something. in the first year i did everything to make my island perfect for myself, but i havent been able to bring myself to play the game at all after the updates because i already felt like i was "finished", even though the new stuff looks amazing.
I started redecorating my island from kid core to urban in my free time, so if your board maybe try that. You don’t have to completely redoing your island, but you can

Late to the party, but I have some games similar to NH. I haven't played all of these, but they get brought up a lot when talking about games like Animal Crossing. -Cozy Grove -The Sims -Stardew Valley -Story of Seasons -My Time At Portia And of course, the king of all sandbox games, Minecraft.
When I find myself bored, I walk around my island and look for things I might want to rearrange or replace. If that doesn't satisfy my boredom, I'll just sit on the beach and fish. My favorite time to fish and just hang out on my islands beach is early in the morning or in the evening, so sometimes time travel is necessary. It's best when foggy in the fall season too!
No matter how bored you get I don’t recommend time traveling because it ruins the charm of the game. I also don’t recommend treasure islands because once you have everything you want you will be bored and wish you had just spent the time getting the items yourself. Just my take on things but you feel a lot more accomplished when you do the work yourself ❤️
I personally disagree, Treasure Islands essentially fixed the burn out I had from the game. And it opens up the opportunity to have any theme or creative idea I want on my island. It's made the game so much more fun, and also how I finally found other friends who play acnh.
I found that the paradise dlc really helped since it sells a lot of the new stuff everyday. And I find a lot of diy by hunting balloons. You might know, but if you walk up and down one side of your Island there will be a balloon spawning every 4 minutes. The wind changes once a day, so you just need to figure out which direction it currently goes. This makes finding rare diy way easier.
I’ve been playing since launch and have reset my island 6 times and flattened 2x😂and it’s because I never like the ideas I have or think of better ones and want a new start so I am always able to find something to do😅

I found that the paradise dlc really helped since it sells a lot of the new stuff everyday. And I find a lot of diy by hunting balloons. You might know, but if you walk up and down one side of your Island there will be a balloon spawning every 4 minutes. The wind changes once a day, so you just need to figure out which direction it currently goes. This makes finding rare diy way easier.

I’ve been playing since launch and have reset my island 6 times and flattened 2x😂and it’s because I never like the ideas I have or think of better ones and want a new start so I am always able to find something to do😅

Restart. When my island feels done. I will admit that I am part of a discord with easy access to treasure islands. So restarting is really quick
i just play animal crossing during class when im burned out because it makes me want to play longer
Omg I can't find anything to do in acnh! I've tried everything! I think I'm just burnt out. Does anyone know good games to play? Any genre.
