I like this big boy! He's a cutie. Glad I moved out here, it's giving me a better appreciation for cacti and succulents :)

Yeah, truth be told when you told me that you lived out there I started scheming about all those cacti connections you have out there!! Out here in northern Kentucky, I get a moon cactus and some holiday cacti after they've already bloomed. lol.

Another great Video Justin, thank you. A friend of mine has one of these, only a young one, the spines are terrible, especially the small ones, my friend used gardening gloves when repotting, had to throw the gloves out, covered in those little spines.

Lol, that is way too funny that you said that. I had not repotted this big boy in I think three years but maybe close to four and the last time he was not near this big. I remember I used an old couch throw pillow, some cardboard, and an oven mitt. I remember now that I had to throw all of that stuff away because everything was covered in those stupid spines. My leather gloves had a couple in them but mostly the cardboard to the brunt of it all. I hope I can save the gloves. They fit me perfectly and are rather comfortable, lol. Thanks for watching!! 🌺

I love your cactus, I have a few. The one that I really would love to have is the spiral and not a baby one.

Really, they don't root from cuttings? Mine gets so big it falls over, then I chop it into pieces and stick it into dirt where it grows just fine. I've probably had one in ten that didn't take.

I'm more of a Crassula collector than a Cacti collector, but I'm very partial to Moon Cacti. Although small in stature, I like them because they often have interesting color patterns, and small fuzzy areolas with large spines. (I'm clumsy and I hate getting poked by other cacti's small "fiberglass" thorns. 😅)
Both of mine came as rescues with fake flowers glued to the top. Once those were removed, I found seeds forming underneath.
And now that I've fallen in love with them, of course I can't find any more them anywhere locally... 🙄

It always makes me laugh when I watch it in editing. I'm not sure why either. Probably my wave at the end. 🌲
