- This review covers the Galaxy Fit, a new fitness tracker sold by Samsung.
This first review leads me to say that this is a pretty good product, but the $100 price tag tells me that we need to take a look at the Galaxy Fit E, priced around $50 with similar features, before coming to final verdict on what is the best buy for you.

Got it at the Black Friday sale for half the price. It is a good device, and Samsung keeps adding useful updates.
Heart rate monitors on wrists suffer from “hairy wrists” affecting the reading sensor. The hair on your arm interferes with the light on the sensor

I cycled for 75 mins(16km) with my mi band 3 tracking my heartbeat, calories burned, distance travelled and time.
It only consumed 5 percent of the battery
i'd get a mi band 3 myself but the screen brightness is worrying, is it decent? and does the band generally work well?
@@kinazura590 tbh the screen brightness is not the best at that price.
Works well indoors and at night but a bit difficult to see outdoors(daytime)

How is the experience with the wearable? I got the note 10 plus with the buds. Thinking to with this versus the active 2 due to the cost.

This was a good review, the fit isn't my choice of Samsung wearables, but it comes with the phone I ordered, and I'll definatly use it as a trial run to see if i want to invest in another wearable product

I'll stick with my gear fit2 pro. The only issue I've had are the bands glue fall apart after 16 months (the issue I'm experiencing now) but you can get cheap replacements on Amazon or swap for a new one if you got the product replacement warranty from best buy. Other than that, I've had no problems
Had no idea this existed. Had the watch for while but would much prefer just a fitness band. This seems perfect tbh

I ordered the global version of the xiaomi band 4 on eBay for $44 yesterday. Allegedly will arrive mid July.
I'd like to see a comparison of this, the xiaomi band 4 & the honor band 4. The two Chinese bands are in the $40-50 range.

6 day battery life, just okay? Lol. I get what you're saying with the long charge time for such a small tracker, I'd say the battery life is pretty damn good and if you just throw it on the charger for 20 minutes every day while showering and getting ready for work, it should be just about enough to keep it pretty charged up. I have a Galaxy Watch (46mm) and so far, I've only been getting 2 days out of it. I use AOD though. Anyway, thanks for the review. I just got one of these for my wife for Valentine's Day and it was only $69.99 on Amazon. Hoping she likes it!
Samsung's interface and design is better than Mi Band 4. But the fit is expensive.(I THİNK)

Mi band 4 is 250 turkish liras, galaxy fit is 600 turkish liras. I have no chance of buying galaxy fit.
After watching this and all the other competitors I ordered charge 3 and I am really satisfied with it.
The charge 3 will count your steps while driving

Hi! I wanted to know, are these waterproof for swimming?
Ppl can get confused between Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit E. The later is much more basic and cheaper than the former..
About the battery life, I think that it's good for a band like this, 6 days or even 7!
But about the charging time, it's normal for a watch that its battery takes 6 days to die!
You can watch a film while this or do whatever you want!

Its the only fitness band with wireless charging, no docking with clicing that brake,🐔
No pinns that go broke or get lose, man even it it would take 4 or 5 hours it would be still worth it, normaly you do this in youre sleep anyway, and a 30 min charge would still get you to the day im guessing

I regularly use a Pebble 2 HR, 7 full days of battery with AOD, takes about an hour to charge 0 to 100.
Nice review! I'm very happy with mine. Just a little bugged that it doesn't take advantage of any wireless charger, but only the one included. Also I really don't know why you have those glitched notification icons...
I don't see it mentioned a lot, but it has a widget with timer and chronometer functions.

Excellent review Shane you just earned yourself a new subscriber, but I have a question is the accuracy of the other exercises such as push up, arm curls etc quite accurate rather than just the basics such as running,cycling
You say 2:45 charging is long?
My phone charges 6to7 hours
By todays standard of quick charging on phones, almost 3 hour charge time is a very long time.

I've had the galaxy fit since it came out and regret it. Thought it would be a good middle band for those that are not that active but still interested in fitness but found the quality and functionality terrible. within a week the black coating on the metal had several large scratches from basic everyday use (housework, shopping etc) and the battery only lasts for 4 days max without using any of the fitness tracking and sports settings (only the basic heart rate check every 10 min and the step count and low light level on the screen). Not only that it constantly disconnects from my phone with no apparent reason.
Overall do not get this band, save you money to get something better.
Please do a comparison with this and Xiaomi fit 4. Thanks!

Simple, Xiaomi is a Chinese company. A country which blocks many Americans social networks in the name of preventing the Americans from having Chinese data. So why would I buy something that basically tracks my daily life and send it there?

Great review! Congrats! I'm buying a ones because my Fitbit Ionic is dead... I have a Gear S3 too, but its battery life is not great for all day and sleep tracking and it's bulkier to sleep with him. Tell us about the sleep tracking report! Is it able to track "sleep stages" (REM, deep sleep etc)? Thank you so much!
Looks like they've made improvements in the software, that's why it's so polished and smooth now, I got mine about a month ago. It was perfect until I got a security patch update on my S10 from Verizon. After that, it stopped getting notifications at all, had to mess with it, uninstalling and reinstalling apps, plugin apk's, deleting my phone's cache partition, several band resets, etc. It did that for almost 2 weeks, until last night, I got it working with a band reset, uninstall and reinstall of the Wearable App and newest Fit Plugin APK, and some oddly timed connection stops and starts. It also wouldn't seem to want to read my heart rate while on my left wrist after it started acting up, I think that was a big issue it was having, maybe something in the software or firmware got changed and it wasn't communicating with the sensors, and didn't know it was on my wrist 🤷🏻♂️ Took it off and charged it this morning, and when I put it back on, was really afraid it wouldn't be working again, but to my surprise, it's been Perfect since I got it working right again, thank God 🙌🏻 Now I've almost forgotten I'm wearing it again lol. Also, battery life for me is right around 7-8 days and I rarely take it off. I Really dig this tracker, it's not perfect, but nothing is going to be for under $100 (I paid $60 for mine, from Walmart online) But as far as these trackers go, I'd still take this over the Mi Band 4 and the rest. Glad it's working perfectly again and doesn't miss notifications or anything, and is reading my HR and Stress levels flawlessly 👍🏻 Good review
how does the fit caculate the calories burned? i heard that the bpm is not part in samsung's calculation.

check the wall converter your plugging it into, your probably giving it less than 1.0watt/5volt and that why its taking you so long to charge.
Can you track your pace while jogging ?
So far from watching a few videos, the only plus to this compared to a fitbit is that it can find your samsung galaxy phone. From one video review, the phone will ring even if the phone is on silent or vibrate?

I want a smartwatch that has an accurate heartbeat monitor and I am between Galaxy Active , Galaxy Fit and Garmin Vivoactive 3 . What do you recommend?
The galaxy fit fits very snug on your wrist and provides good heart rate reading, but compared to the other 2 you mentioned it has far less features overall. Any other things you’re looking for?

It is made of glass, and you have to get a screen protector, though these are not easy to find.
Just activated this watch. Saw an update and now it's saying updating band but nothing's happening. The watch is fully charged. What do I do?

I really liked my Mi Band 2, bought the mi band 3 and I am pretty hyped for the Mi Band 4.
The Mi Fit App is a bit weird but I think a Mi Band is a better deal than this Samsung Band für 100$

15-60 days from China. And I paid around $35 for it when it retails for like $28

I had 2 Fitbits and they only lasted for 7 months each . I want to know if this one will last for 2 years at last.
Samsung makes quality products that last, they're pretty good with updates now too
Might be a silly question to ask, but am i able to wear this and go for a run without my phone and it still record my run? I personally dont like having to carry my bulky phone while running around the neighborhood and if possible, like to leave it at home during the half hour I run.

Okay my watch resets steps around 9 or 10 am but Samsung health resets at midnight as always like I'm use to.. this means the phone and watch end up reading different steps and it bugs the shit out of me. What gives?? Can I not change the time the watch resets???

I think the Amazfit Bip is better for runners. I get 30 days far of the power supply, and it has GPS, and its cheaper.
this isn't just a tracker, it's also a watch with apps... a jr samsung watch really - so you can add 3rd party apps as well as samsung via the app store. - so I would agree, for just tracking running sure it's better, for everything else it's in a category of it's own really.

I should be picking up my Galaxy Fit today but I'm still contemplating returning it to pick up the Charge 3 SE. I can get it for pretty much the same price as the Galaxy Fit.
Thoughts if you have experience with both?
MadWhack187 I had a Fitbit charge 2, no experience with the 3. I honestly don’t know what changed on the 3 over the 2, but the fit provides a lot more interaction with the device over the charge 2, the amoled screen is very appealing to look at, and the fit is a much smaller form factor and feels very comfortable. Only downside which isn’t to the fault of the fit itself is that almost everybody I know who owns a Fitness tracker has a Fitbit so you won’t be able to do challenges with friends if that’s important to you. So far I am enjoying the fit, I’m just still trying to gauge from a value perspective if $100 is a good price for it

The only things I miss from my Gear S3 are:
- Multiple Alarms (and snooze mode lol)
- Multiple Timers
- Ability to delete emails straight from the fit.
- I seem to have to manually open the Samsung Health app for it to sync my sleep/data. I switched a few settings and will retest tonight.
Otherwise I'm fine with the price; it does what I want it to do.
this is a dumb question as the battery life is not the best but I'm wondering if you can connect bt headphones to it like how you can on galaxy watches.

On the older but fantastic Gear Fit 2 you can. It's an app on the tracker watch.
Man if you csn import just buy the huawei band 4 which is much better than that in all regards and came first so thats just a knock out

I got the fit and the steps were resetting around 10am. I contacted Samsung and they said it might be a issue with the band and I might need to return it. I did and got another one. This one reset at 7am. Any ideas? I love this band but come on this is crazy.
May i ask why would you need to count your steps? I only use these tracking devices for heart rate, gps, and my run pace.

I have an S3 Frontier, I love the fitness tracking capabilities but I hate how big it is and I also hate having to wear a smart watch all the time and ignoring my small collection of automatic watches. This thing looks a lot closer to what I want but I'd go even further and wish for just a band with no screen that works with the samsung health app Lol.. I'm going to look into the Fit E, that might be more what I want, so I can track my health stats and still wear my nice watches at the same time.
I am looking forward to the galaxy watch active 2, I was not a fan of the first active but I think the active 2 might fill some gaps between say a s3 and fit e
Its pretty slow the charging, man this thing has wireless charging,the only fitness tracker with this, this should be the number 1 fitness tracker of the world, nothing on the outside nothing that can go broke
