Hello again! I just got a new mountain bike for my birthday! It is a trrk fuel ex 7 2014 and it is awesome! Today was my first day to ride it on the trails and i rode this was amazing! I was able to do everything without much difficulty. It is amazing!
Moonboy 1040 Hey John,, WOW, That sounds like an AwEsOmE birthday gift. How Ironic tho because I took a trip to Moab, Utah April 6th. I flew in. When I got there I rented a TREK Fuel EX7 29er. It was a sweet bike. You are right. My bike is a Hardtail. So,, I was anxious to try out a full suspension bike for the first time. Loved it,,, might have to check and see about getting myself one for a replacement down the road. :) As of yet, I've not made it to Brown County to do any riding at all. Work is too busy and I've got too many things to do around the house yet before I can take a weekend to go ride. I was just fortunate I had this my trip planned way in advance from last December. You'll be a pro at shredding up those trails on that TREK. Keep the rubber side down my friend and be safe out there... :) :) Sorry it took me so long to reply back to you,,, Just too busy these days. AND HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOU !!!!! I might add !!!! :)
Thanks John, the first time I rode this trail was in 2012. My first year of MTB. I parked at the Hesitation Vista and as I was getting ready to ride down, I seen a guy (and older gentleman like me) coming up thru the grassy part. He cut the trail short and didn't finish out the little wooded part. I asked him if it was a rough one. He was all sweaty and said yes,, After I got to bottom,, I then realized I had to make the ride back up..... UGGHHHHH !!!! Wasn't in shape for that by any means,, then I realized why he cut the trail short. But,, I was determined to finish out the trail. :) Whew !!! I made it tho. :)
That's pretty awesome John, :) It's fun going down,, but a challenge to come back up. ;) I've never crashed on this trail yet,, Fell over once on the Walnut Trail on a switchback. OUCH ! OH,, and I'm just a little older than you. I just turned 54. So,, I have to be careful not to BREAK any bones. lol Have fun out there and be safe !!! Keep the rubber side down ! ;)
CodeMonmonSeason01 Hey CodeMonmonSeason01,,,, Yes,, I guess my title is a little deceiving as well. This was shot and uploaded to RUclips my 2nd year of MTB. I'd not been in the know of MTB terms and all the different types of trails a person could ride at that time. I just know that when you ride UP Hesitation Point, It's a blast going back down hill on it. The REWARD so to speak. ;) But,,, anyway, thanks for watching and thanks for not commenting bad things about my lack of knowledge on DH trails. lol Brown County trail are all 2-way and open to hikers as well. BUT, they are worth a try if you like these types of single track. :) Have a great day and be careful out there shredding up the trails. :)
Moonboy 1040 Cool user name John,, Nice to hear from you again.. Yes,, I'm off tomorrow and I'm hoping the trails at Brown County Park aren't too muddy. We got poured on a couple days ago. But,, if so, I'll just hope on my road bike and try and get a little closer to my 1000 mile goal this year. I'm 324 miles away from it right now. Heck,, you're dad is a young'n compared to me. lol Hopefully you two can get a ride in when it dries up ! Take care,,,
