Same, I just cleaned my room bc it was really messy after watching videos like these. Sadly I only got my bed done today bc I got a whole new bed and stuff but tmr or when some things come in the mail im going to put things up on the walls, re-organize my closet, build my desk, and that’s it-
The addition of the extra colours freshens up your classroom. I love how you used the same borders throughout. It ties everything together beautifully. For your points, you can always buy magnetic coins. It may help students recognize the different coins and it will keep your board tidy.
I LOVE assembling the wall space, because that is when the classroom comes to life. But I, too, agonize over what my boards will be each year. It is such precious space, and I only do it once each year, so I have to be very intentional in my wall content. Your room looks so cute! And I know you are going to feel so much more peaceful having it all behind you.
I love your classroom, I wish my room is as big. I have about half that space and all my desks have to be in rows. Essentially my room is all desks. I have 1 whiteboard and the entire middle is the screen. Thanks for the inspiration.
About the team points section there is laminated like pictured money that you could have them add onto their team points sheet so they can also identify the money as well!
Your classroom is looking so beautiful! The colors really add a lot! I thought it would be neat to make another set of calendar numbers in color. That way the calendar helper can change the date for the current day ti a colored square. It makes it easy to find the date. Just a thought. It looks great as is.
I’m so interested in the idea of centres so like reading centre etc because we don’t have that here in the Uk - if you ever need video ideas would love something about this!

I hate pocket calendars too. This year I got a huge desk calendar, and I'm going to hang it up with magnets on my board. Now I don't have to change anything, and the kids can x out the day.
@@sarahp444 I have in the past! It is extremely beneficial for SO many kids! To be honest, I am used to being distance learning, so it will probably be something that is created as the year progresses and we need it. At my old site we had a very high population of students with some kind of trauma, so it was necessary.
Freshman education major here 🙋🏼♀️ Everything looks so good! I’m kind of shocked at how much white board space is “structured.” I remember when I was in elementary most of our space was blank just for writing stuff. Granted, that was 2008, 2009, 2010, etc. Things weren’t as cute then! Hahaha

I remember when I tried go for teaching but I could not pass my state certification for teaching to save my life so unfortunately that dream is out the window but regardless of my failures I still want to work in an elementary school when I graduate from college with my non cert early childhood major and my psychology major. Any ideas of what I could do?
They recently got rid of the CBEST and CSETs ladies!!! They are being replaced with a class I believe. But if you have your BA you should be fine. The point is that you can now start your credential program without having to worry about those. We are on a teacher shortage so research it. Try National University is the easiest way to go. I wish this was done when I was stressing about those tests 😫 but I’m just glad other people can have it way easier to have their dream career come true. 🤗
