If you look at the accounts for Twitter UK Ltd (it is still called that), it made a profit in 2022 of about £8.5m and paid tax on it, but it doesn't actually have a bank account, all of the money goes straight to a bank account in the USA owned by its parent company. So the company exists solely to meet the requirements to report UK income to HMRC and pay tax on it.
That is not illegal if done correctly. Twitter operates in the UK, so should pay taxes on any profits earned over here and the same goes for any other country they also operate in too.

A labour government with better relationships with Europe is a threat to Putin, someone who both of them are becoming increasingly close to and more willing to follow. As well as Musk having a visceral dislike to Starmer, as leader of the Labour Party and PM, Starmer is less likely to accept the political landscape in the US. Sow discord here and the UK becomes weaker in standing against Putin whose end goal is to break up the alliances across Europe. Success in that direction allows Putin the means to retake the former countries run by the USSR . Putin has closely aligned himself with the majority of dictatorships around the world and together can cause democracies to fail. It’s a long term plan, Musk and trump are the first steps.
WE so need to reform the funding of politics. If not we will continue down the road to a US system where money buys power just like the recent elections across the pond.
