Please never lose this perspective Niomi. You are one of the few on RUclips who isn't just obsessed with consumerism, narcissism, or exploitation. I applaud you using your platform to help others and to express your concern/empathy toward those less fortunate than us. You have integrity and morals...it's very evident.
The saddest thing I have ever seen was a homeless gentleman sleeping all by himself on a sidewalk on Christmas day. It broke my heart and years later I still think of him. It is wonderful what you are doing to help. There are things we can all do if we put our heart into it. ❤🎄
Lorilee New oh wow on Christmas day that's sad we don't celebrate Christmas as a family, but due to living in Britain everything is close and everyone is at home you forget about people like the homeless so sad.
The fact that you live a comfortable amazing life but still are moved to tears talking about the homeless just proves that you are an amazing soul. That was a beautiful message and has inspired me to get involved with the shelter here where we live so I can teach my son the art of compassion and how important it is to not let that slip away. This was my favorite vlog ever!
My mum was homeless for few months.. I didnt know at the time.. I was small and living in a different country.. she risked her life for us to move to UK and had to went through this. She is forever my hero
This is why you are my favorite youtuber. While I enjoy watching all of your videos, it is truly admirable and inspiring that you continue to acknowledge real issues occurring in the world and use your platform to help others. Thank you 👏🏼💞
Thank you so much for using your platform to bring worldwide homelessness to attention. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, not too far from NYC and we, too, have quite a homeless problem. I’m taking this video as a sign as I’ve been seeing the same elderly man sleeping on a bench during my morning commute to work for the past couple of weeks. It’s below freezing here right now, so this was my final push to get me to reach out to see if there’s something that I can do. All my love to you xx
Aww the part where you cried really touched me, I was thrown out into the streets at 18 and spent almost a week on the streets, was a very scary and eye opening experience, luckily I found accommodation quickly and I feel luckier than ever now. I still have very little but Im safe & warm. It’s so wrong that this is even happening in 2017, a roof over our heads is such a basic need.
I live in Egypt... There are many children on the streets, they are not orphans they have parents who left them there, and every organisation that helps them gets denied because their parents will report that that organisation kidnapped them ... imagine that. There are horrific things that happen to these children that I just can't write down.
Salam- I know exactly what you're referring to and you're right it is a tremendous problem. I hope to one day become an Anthropologist and work for children's advocacy in Egypt- I'm so glad you commented this and brought everyone's attention here to the atrocities committed to children in Egypt.
Thank you for this, Niomi. You are a very special type of vlogger. Not many people give two hoots about the homeless but for this heartfelt video you have truly shown your genuine kindness. Thank you xxxx
You literally have a heart of gold. I already thought of you as a compassionate person because of your choice of diet, but it really warms my heart to know how empathetic you are in general. Keep being such a kind soul, and sharing it, the internet needs more of this. xxx
My mum always talks to homeless people on her way home from work and she says that it’s the most incredible feeling to see someone understand that they are actually being seen and heard - that they are worth stopping for a second to talk to xx
I'm 15 and volunteering at a homeless shelter for the second year this Christmas until March. It is so lovely to see all of the grateful people arrive to a safe and warm place xx
Emily Rose Hello. I'm also 15 and I'd really like to volunteer. Could you people tell me how you applied to volunteer, I'm really nervous but I'd like to try.
As much as I do love your workouts, outfit and food videos, I also love how honest you sometimes talk about such true things. I love how you take the time to talk about homeless people, about terrorist attacks and previously about other serious things that have happened in this world. It's a fresh breath of air.
Niomi you shouldn't feel guilty for the wonderful life that you have. It is important to help others but at the same time it is impossible to bear the weight of everyone else's suffering. You are such a lovely, empathetic, and caring person, I can see that just from watching your videos. However, you can only do what is in your immediate power to help those in need. It is important to be grateful for what you have and recognize those who have less but comparing the woes of your life to someone else's isn't productive. Your life is the only one you have so it is okay to whine and complain from time to time. You're an inspiration Niomi and, also being a very empathetic person myself, it hurts my heart to see you cry. I wish you a very happy (and guilt free) Christmas.
You'll never find a more honest, humble, and real youtuber than Niomi Smart... Please never lose sight of this amazing part of you. There's so much talk about helping others, but actually taking action is a whole other thing, but it's so obvious how compasionate you are for others and you actually try and motivate others to do the same. You are amazing 👏🏼
I live in California and we have a huge homeless population. Yes California is known as a warm place but we have very very cold winters. It gets below freezing in most parts at night during the winter. If everyone just puts forth a little effort we can make a difference in the world. Thank you Niomi for using your platform to shine a light and help.
Thank you Niomi for taking the time to talk about issues that are going in the world right now and doing and sharing your reserch with your followers. You did the same thing last year with the problem that was happening in Syria. Keep doing the good work. You are a kind soul
Thank you Niomi for using your platform to voice an issue that impacts so many lives. Sadly everyone is one misfortune or bad decision away from being in a situation that could leave you homeless. RUclipsrs are so powerful and it's great to see people using their influence to make a difference!
Niomi, you have such a heart of gold! It's so sad to see lots of people (especially families with young children) suffer whether they're homeless or not. I wish we would help everyone at once!
Amazing message and such a powerful platform to promote the cause. My own father was homeless for two years while I was away for school and it broke my heart to know there was nothing I could do to help him. Thank you for using your voice to bring attention to an issue that the world has grown so numb to. But this is a very, very real problem and we can all do simple actions to help out. Donate clothing, food, bedding. Anything! lots of love xxx
It makes you think how lucky we are and how we take so much for granted, I am really touched by this and if you can make as many people see this and listen, well done you, thanks Naomi.
I teared when you cried. You are such a genuine person and I just can feel how true you with these kind of things. I think you are one of the truest youtuber ever. Always humble and down to earth. Xxx
It’s amazing you’re using your platform to raise awareness of this and you genuinely do care as well. I remember you doing previous things for charity as well in your vlogs. Great cause Niomi and it’s such an easy way for everyone to help others especially when so many people are struggling financially and can’t donate to charity this will be so helpful. I’ll be downloading now xx
Niomi is actually an angel, so much empathy and love for everyone! I have been thinking about the homeless a lot recently and it’s heartbreaking so I’m so glad that you’re spreading awareness and ways to help! A true example of using an audience for good✨
You are by far one of my favorite human beings! You have such a big heart and are such a conscious person. I think it is amazing that you talk about these things. I always feel guilty about these things but I find helping out by volunteering and donating really helps. 💙
it's so easy to get caught up in the commercialism and gluttony of the holidays, and I honestly think it's ok to take advantage of the opportunities and treats around us. I just really want to thank you for using your voice yet again to address important issues. I live in Toronto which has weather much like NYC and it really breaks my heart to feel so helpless when I see homeless people and animals on the streets in the winter. Your video has inspired me to look into whether something like streetlink exists near me.
Niomi you are a beautiful person inside and out. I also commented to my husband the other day about how blessed and privileged we are that we don’t have to sleep outside. My heart breaks for all the people and animals out in the cold.
Thank you for sharing your concern and big heart. It's so easy for people with influence to not talk about hard things in the world and it means so much that you do. You are using your voice to help those who need it, and we need more people in the world like you! Thank you for reminding all of us about those suffering this season.
Love that your videos cover real important topics like homelessness, recycling and veganism. Your an inspiration to your followers and it's refreshing to watch videos that touch on more serious topics.
Seriously I respect you so much. I love many youtubers and no offense (everyone’s different) you are the only one who is always humble, not showing off about wht you have and appreciative. Please don’t stop believing yourself. You are absolutely lovable and deserved being loved.
I was really shocked when visiting America how bad the homeless situation was. After dinner in Santa Monica myself and my friends took some warm food down to people sleeping on the beach. It's sad to think in this day and age people don't have a bed to sleep in. There are so many apartment buildings going up everywhere, why can't one be for people that don't have a home? With so many abandoned buildings, why can't the government do one up and house some people? It really does break my heart as well. I try and do what I can, when I can. Last year I put together about 30 care packs together for a homeless shelter. I think that ap is a wonderful idea and should be worldwide xx
you are such a wonderful and beautiful person, i feel like it's so important to talk about these things just to make us see how blessed we are, and help them as much as we can. i collaborate with a charity every year, and honestly that is one of the greatest feelings in the world, would recommend it to everyone. thank you niomi for talking about this, you are truly a precious person ❤️
It's heartbreaking. There was a horrible story in NYC where Eddie Bauer slashed and ruined a bunch of extra winter coats for trash rather than helping all the many freezing people who need the help there. Individuals like you, me and everyone watching this video need to do what we can...even if it's just raising awareness for those organizations that ARE able to help. Your heart is so big Niomi, thanks for sharing ❤️❤️
Niomi, you are so caring and kind, I am moved and so glad you have openly talked about this because it is a huge problem! I am so glad you have suggested ways for people to help. X
I can imagine how it feels to have nothing, because I was homeless, too, about 12 years ago. Im glad to hear that there’s more being done for the homeless these days. 12 years ago, I didn’t get any help from any charity. Whenever I’m back to London, I try to buy warm meals for the homeless. Euston Station idea is so great, especially because as far as I know, they have shower facilities. That was one thing I used to miss the most on the streets.
I love that you use your platform for so many different causes. You are such a thoughtful and inspirational person. Thank you so much for everything you do
I appreciate you speaking about this because i am very passionate about this issue too. I live in Chicago & the amount of homeless people on the streets are ridiculous, especially with our freezing cold winters. That’s why i co-founded an organization called “We Are Human.” we walk around the downtown area of chicago giving lunches, warm food, gloves, scarves, socks, coats, etc to anyone we come across in need every weekend. our main goal is to humanize the homeless. i think it’s important for everyone to realize that everyone has a story, and some are fortunate than others, but we should all help each and every person we are able to out out of the kindness of our hearts, and the betterment of our society.
I love that you talk about issues like this. I live in Canada and on Tuesday we had a street patrol giving out food and socks to the homeless in downtown Toronto. Just walking around in the cold was terrible so i cant even imagine what they're going through. I really hope people can do their best to help the homeless out because we truly take everything for granted.
Niomi, I think it’s so amazing and inspiring that you use your platform and position of influence in such a positive way. I think more RUclipsrs should take advantage of the huge audiences they have and the difference they can make. My lovely mum is working at a homeless shelter all through the night before Christmas - I’m also struggling with the dilemma of the fact I don’t see my family very often so I think it’s incredible when people give up such an important time to help others. I was locked out of my London flat in the middle of the night last night and was absolutely furious, watching this has made me realise how ridiculous that is - 1 hour is so unbelievably insignificant compared to the nights after nights that these people spend in the cold. Will definitely be buying a few of these calendars - what an amazing project. Have a lovely Christmas x
This is why you're my favourite youtuber ever. I admire you so much not just as a youtuber but as a person aswell. You talk about things that actually matter and are always helping in some way with your recipes, inspiring people to have a healthier lifestyle or inspiring us to actually help and take action to make this world a better place. I wish there were more people like you, Niomi, you're truly amazing.
Niomi, you are such a beautiful soul. I often think of last year's vlogmas when you spoke about Aleppo, and because of you I was able to do my (small) part. You are such an inspiration because you use your platform for good. Please continue to do so. I hope someday I can have your grace, your kindness, and your heart. Thank you for being a shining light. I wish you all the happiness in the world and hope you are able to find peace. Much love.
Bless your lovely kind heart Niomi..! ❤️ Don’t ever feel ashamed or embarrassed about shedding a tear. It speaks in volumes how caring and thoughtful you are. Stay true to who you are.
I will definitely, there is a guy who is sleeping rough a couple of streets away, I was wondering what I could do for him so street link will be perfect xx
What a lovely girl you are. So nice that the plight of others who are not so lucky touches you so deeply. The world has become a very busy place where people have very little time to stop and think about what is going on around them. Life is busy....... but thank you for encouraging us all to consider the less fortunate.
I can't commend you enough for using your platform to raise awareness of issues that we should all be more conscious of. You should be so proud of yourself. Your channel always promotes compassion, ethical lifestyle choices as well as emphasising how to look after ourselves inside and out. You are such a positive role model for young girls. Never stop doing what you're doing xoxo
Sad to hear you say you felt down today, the time of year and freezing tempratures plus you are working so hard each day and working out and vlogging non stop. you must be getting so tired. i hope you have some relaxing time with Joe and your family over xmas time, great work helping the homeless you have a heart of gold XXX
You are just the sweetest, Naomi! So thoughtful of you to use your audience for a good cause. I will think twice next time I see a homeless person, thanks for the tips! Lots of love to you ❤️
Oh Niomi you just brought me to tears, you're lovely and thoughtful. I live in Canada and as you can imagine the winters are horrendous here. What a wonderful thing for people to do for others less fortunate, well done England!
Thank you for being so thoughtful and caring. You obviously have a petastool and a voice for helping the less fortunate. I shall look into the link. May God look after all the people in need
Another thing that homeless people crave is human interaction. Just a conversation with someone who remembers that they are a human exactly the same as them. Keep up the fantastic vlogs Niomi, we love you xxx
As long as there is misery and people starving right under luxurious buildings, i cannot see how there could be hope for a better mankind. Thank you Niomi to talk about such serious issues. Please keep going you are an angel. Love from France
Niomi you are such a wonderful person with a pure heart. I am grateful for RUclipsrs like you that are so aware of those in need, with no selfish interests of your own.
This video really touched me, your so kind and thoughtful of what is going on in this world! It is heartbreaking to see people living on the streets and we are sleeping in a nice, cosy and warm house. Life is hard sometimes! Love you Niomi x
Christmas time 2 years ago, I stopped outside of the train station to give a homeless guy who I saw regularly, some change because he was freezing cold. I gave him £5 that I had in my pocket which without realising we can so easily forget the value of. When I handed it to him he started to cry and tried to give it back to me and when he finally accepted he wished me a safe Christmas and said he’d pray for me. A few days later the news gave out that a homeless man had been found dead and I have never seen him again. I’m still hopeful that he managed to get off the streets but it was so cold that week there was a good chance he didn’t. I will never forget him.
You're so kind and generous person, really I adore you. You're completely right about all of the stuff. This isn't fair and we could do a lot for changing the situation. I confess I cried watching your video too, thanks for all the feeling and good vibes you gave me ❤️
Hi Niomi! I love how you addressed helping the homeless in this video, I had to comment. You have such a beautiful heart! I live in the US and recently went to New York and helped feed, clothe, and pray with those living on the streets through a small organization called The Relief Bus. It was such an eye opening experience and watching your video has given me even more drive to help those in need, especially during the cold holiday season! God bless!
You are amazing. Most people would not even consider homeless people but you are so inspirational and admirable. So many young women look up to you because you are a strong, powerful, independent women. You have used your platform to help others and you are able to understand the needs of other people. I wish more people were like you.❤️
When I saw your thumbnail I expected you were referring to something you experienced yourself. You really turned that around for me and I’m very impressed by how much you care about others!
Only a quarter way through and already love your kindess! GB Niomi! big youtubers who use their platform to help others by bringing awareness to the less fortunate is so praiseworthy x
You're such a wonderful soul. You're one of such few amazing people who is actually helping make a difference. Thankful for your kind and courageous soul
It’s getting worse in the UK where people can’t afford to keep up with house prices and general living costs. I work full time and struggle every month but I still count myself so lucky. I think it’s great what you’re doing! I think it’s so good when people help others who have so much themselves good on you xx
You're the most careing person i have ever seen you are a huge example for so many people. If everyone would think like you the world would be a better place and especialy now as you said everyone deserves a nice time. Keep up your work you are so inspiring. Xxx
Naomi! Thanks so much for talking about homelessness, and also the idea that we as the privileged of the world do tend to turn a blind eye to issues that don’t personally affect us. I live in Canada, and I heard the other day (mind you I can’t cite this stat) that women’s shelters here can only accommodate 60% of the people who ask for help... there’s just not enough room! I know that life in Canada is so good compared to many other places, but my heart still breaks a little, and I’m reminded not to be so apathetic or fearful when it comes to doing my part. :) Anyway thanks for bringing this up.
You're a gem Niomi! Such as caring, selfless, and beautiful person, inside and out. This is exactly why you're my favorite RUclipsr/blogger. You're truly inspiring. Lots of love xxxx
You have such a beautiful heart, Niomi. It's wonderful to see an accomplished RUclipsr still so down to earth and caring, especially about those who are less fortunate. Thank you for using your platform to bring about more awareness and hopefully help for these people. You're truly an amazing role model for everyone. So much love for you! :)
Niomi, I want to encourage you in your heart for others! It is so important to have a sense of personal responsibility in serving and being aware of the homeless. Just know, that you, although wonderfully self aware and strong, cannot save everyone who is homeless. More than likely, those who are homeless have fallen into a system of oppression and lack of opportunity: no one expects you to reverse this system! But using your platform to raise awareness of these issues is more powerful than you think! Keep on doing what you’re doing💕
You are such a genuinely lovely and kind person. I live in the US in Washington DC. There are homeless people living outside the gates of the White House - it's a huge problem here, and even more shocking seeing it right outside the opulent White House. My family and I have volunteered every Thanksgiving for the past 25 years to help feed the homeless. It's a great thing to do for people who want to help. Thank you for your lovely video Niomi - I rarely comment on youtube videos, but you have a long time fan in me.
Please never lose this perspective Niomi. You are one of the few on RUclips who isn't just obsessed with consumerism, narcissism, or exploitation. I applaud you using your platform to help others and to express your concern/empathy toward those less fortunate than us. You have integrity and morals...it's very evident.
Ann very well said, I couldn’t agree more!
Couldnt agree more! She has the most selfless attitude and seems like such a caring person!
Awww well said Ann xx
Ann totally agree with you!
Totally agree - thanks for saying this :)
I just love how giving Niomi is. She is so kind and always donating to charity!

Aw Niomi, it isnt ridiculous when you cry. you are one of the few youtubers who has such a great heart
You are so kind hearted and we need more people in the world like you.

Meg Kaye i saw a homeless guy in NYC who had a terribly ulcerated leg. I pray he got treatment. If he didn't he would have died from infection by now.
Aww the part where you cried really touched me, I was thrown out into the streets at 18 and spent almost a week on the streets, was a very scary and eye opening experience, luckily I found accommodation quickly and I feel luckier than ever now. Mirna's Makeup that sounds so terrible :-( why would the parents do such a horrible thing to their kids?
Mirna's Makeup sad to know that kids is always suffering to those kind of parents,.
what the fuck?????????? what kind of parent does that???? wow???
Truly horrible, #MirnasMakeup ! ..... A word to our compassionate vlogger, #NiomiSmart - your link to the calendar is 'dead' .

not many youtubers use their platforms to raise some kind of awareness, huge respect to u niomi
s G preach it🔥🔥
Thank you for this, Niomi. You are a very special type of vlogger. Not many people give two hoots about the homeless but for this heartfelt video you have truly shown your genuine kindness. Thank you xxxx
Sarah Dawes preach it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I keep imagining niomi as royalty, honestly would be the perfect princess you’re just so wholesome and giving
Shame the monarchy is probably the least wholesome and giving thing ever....

Life isn’t perfect but it has perfect moments
Jumana Al-naqi I agree😊
It hasn't to be perfect, thats how we learn to value the persons that surround us.
no one and nothing is perfect
Jumana Al-naqi this is so true
Such a beautiful outlook on life :)

Thank you so much for everything you do
You are such a loving person
LilithTheUnicorn Thank you for being so kind. You sound like a lovely person 😊
LilithTheUnicorn you can still use the app though
I'm just home for a crappy day at work and I'm so glad I clicked on your video as it really helped me put my petty problems into perspective!
Much love.
Hi niomi, just wanted to let you know that you are lovely! The more I watch your videos, the more of an inspiration you become for me ❤️
Bless your lovely kind heart Niomi..! ❤️ Don’t ever feel ashamed or embarrassed about shedding a tear. It speaks in volumes how caring and thoughtful you are. Stay true to who you are.
I think this is why we should never take anything for granted and be thankful for what we have in life..
God bless your kind heart Niomi. I just got back from new York and the amount of people sleeping rough in the snow broke my heart
I always get food and water for them whenever I see a homeless person xxxx
Tracy Shaw you should contact Streetlink as Naomi suggested.
Niomi you have such a big heart and it shows. Thanks for taking the time and using your platform to educate people about this issue.
You have such a big heart Niomi, grateful for people like you on the internet. You are down to earth, and so kind. Lots of Love xxx
Love from France
rula220 you put exactly what I was thinking into words so beautifully. Thank you x
Aww thank you for your nice comment xxx
Niomi you are such a wonderful person with a pure heart. I am grateful for RUclipsrs like you that are so aware of those in need, with no selfish interests of your own.
World is a better place when there are people like you that has the kindest soul❤ thanks for showing people that we should care about others❤
God bless!
One of the only RUclipsrs in the beauty/lifestyle realm that I deeply respect due to videos like this.
Thank you for raising awareness about such an important issue. It's lovely you're so empathetic.
You are quite something Niomi Smart. Never loose that beautiful heart.
Thanks Niomi, let’s take action. Charity is what Christmas is about
You're such a wonderful soul.
It's great that you're using your voice and influence to bring attention to these topics. Respect! xx
Agh - I'm so excited! Naomi always gets me so motivated to do stuff I don't want to
So true 😂
Thank you for reminding me about the homeless we all need to stop and help whenever we can, and realize we are blessed.😍
You're such a genuine and caring person Niomi ❤️ Thank you for addressing these issues and bringing our attention to people who need help!
Awh niomi, you’re a true inspiration. Thoughtful and kind I love you so much
You're a gem Niomi! Such as caring, selfless, and beautiful person, inside and out. This is exactly why you're my favorite RUclipsr/blogger. You're truly inspiring. Lots of love xxxx
What a lovely way to use your platform to share messages like this. Thank you x
Half of the world doing workouts other half starving life is so unfair but whatever we receive feel blessed
