First listened to this as I stumbled across it probably 6-7 years back. This was around the time of my first "love" and I remember showing it to her. Unfortunately she passed in January and now this song has become even more sacred to me. I will never forget you Abbey Mae Conner, I love you always.
Crazy story. My band (stupid band in high school with my friends) played a show with this band waaay back in the day. Probably like 2010 or 2011 and they played before we went on. I screamed their songs at the top of my lungs and then I had lost my voice by the time my band had to get on to play (I was the singer- stupid teenage cover band) but I ALWAYS thought that TYGB was the most underrated band ever. Their music to me compares to bands like Blink182. This song was me and my girlfriend’s “song” for so long. We played at the corner pocket in Blairsville PA and they were asking people to sleep on their couch/floor. They deserved so much more. Absolutely talented band. Still have the studded belt that the whole band signed and it’s a treasure. Crazy how time flies 💔 if you like this song, look up “might as well be in space” , “stay close” (literally best song ever) , “follow me home” , “what happens in __, stays in ____” , and best of all “Sundays best” literally some of the best songs ever made by far. This band should have been Blink 182 status. So sad they broke up and lived normal lives. All great guys too. Their singer gave me tips (I still sucked) and I’ll never forget that day.
