I love how Tom says "you established this mansion as a haven for us mutants" and Pete just LAUGHS in his face
I think he's laughing cause its such a good point. Firing the mutants and sending them away goes against the whole point of the mansion existing. He's got nothing to counter it with and he knows it XD
It was all a trap so he could mock them then fire them 😂
He literally states the crux of the joke of this sketch haha.

That's one of the most authentic German accents I have ever heard!
Every outtake Middleditch says a line that's too funny to get a clean take.

Thomas really stayed in the pocket. Pete pulled out that line about the donkey playing the piano which was hilarious, and Thomas was like "I know the exact one you mean" and took it to the next level.
At that point I absolutely died
He's a top-tier improv comedian for sure
This is hilarious but also I'm in love with this representation of Nightcrawler. This is absolutely Kurt to an almost perfect T, and I love his innocence here.

Nearly all the roles of the X-Man are just so incredibly true to the characters. It's amazing! I love how they stay in role during the strange abuse of Professor X.
I feel like Thomas Middleditch is Pete Holmes' comedic kryptonite. He just can NOT keep from cracking up around him, first as Gambit and now as Nightcrawler. I thought, from watching the Nightcrawler video, that Pete would be sort of getting revenge by making Thomas laugh with the crazy loud singing, but nope. He is just losing it all over the place!
He's funnier than Pete.

It's a small thing, but with Thomas choosing to use "kinder" instead of "children" blows my mind - the talent this man has.
That little nuance did make the whole sentence sound funnier.

Dude! Every time Pete and Tom do one of these, it just takes it up a whole Nother level. They are hilarious together. I love the streetfighter, red tape, Vega skit. And the outtakes are even more hilarious. A buddy and I constantly reference that…. My Claauuu! Lol Also, any of the Batman fires are hilarious as well

Is that supposed to have a meaning?
The "-schlagen" part could indicate a German word, but the rest just isn't.
He should have tried "Gschlachtenbretzingen", which is an actual place in southwest Germany... but that may have broken his tongue. Even for Germans, combinations with "gsch" are sort of uncomfortable to pronounce. Which makes me very sad, because my favourite German tea company is owned by the Gschwendner family...
