- Vintage Lineman boots restored .This was $480 job. Once everything was apart, we had a surprise with the footbed, unfortunately I couldn’t leave it in that condition. So I had to replace it. Had I know it was this extensive work then the price would have been around $600 plus. But overall I think it turned out great and will stick to the original price.

Thank you for being the guy who says "it needs a new footbed so I'm putting it in." There's so many people who don't go the extra mile and leave it at "this is what they paid for..." Just another example of Steve being a quality gentleman.
"Be right with you dear, just gonna watch this video, Steve says it'll on!y be a short one". 30 minutes later, my better half ~ "I thought you said you were only watching a short video?".
How do I explain the importance of watching a great craftsman refurbishing a pair of boots, and that once you start you start you can't stop? Great work Steve.
Boy. Old school pole climbing boots brought back to modern day life. A touch of nostalgia for old-time linemen. Handsome result to be proudly worn again.
You are an artist, good sir. Cheers, from Newfoundland.
Glad you could fix these boots. Whether he is a lineman or not, he needs a good pair of boots; you made them so again.
You never talk nonsense/crap. It's all very professional and entertaining; a breath of fresh air.
Hey Steve 🙋🏽. I hope you are having a awesome amazing beautiful day ‼️❤️ YOU DO SOME BEAUTIFUL WORK ‼️🥰
I was so happy to see anothe video so soon after the pink purse, love ya.
Steve that was a great repair Beat up old boots made new again the customer got more than he paid for so he’s going to be happy . Bedo’s my Sunday afternoon viewing pleasure thanks Steve 😊
Another terrific job Steveroo...!!!
This is my morning coffee👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful work!!! I’m going to Ty and look that boot up!!! Keep continuing my friend!!! Cheers 🍻!
Always fun to watch these projects.
Greteeng from Ukraine! Unfortunately, Europeans have almost got rid of traditional shoe making, and there is less and less such repair work. Merry Christmas Steve!
LOL I was "hammertime" even before you paused and smiled at us with the hammer at the forefront XD
Glad to be here on Sunday eating chocolate donuts and watching you. Calm relaxing thanks 🤣 great restore!
Love it. The best RUclips channel by far
What a fantastic job Steve brilliant outcome 👏
Always a pleasure to watch how you remake things. Solid work. The little things, like overlapping the lineman's patch repair with a skive, and stitching the gemming to the footbed... it's those little things that make things so much stronger. Mery Christmas, Steve.
The customer will not recognize his own boots 👢. Good job STEVE.
Amazing as usual Steve. If you don't do another video before Christmas I wish you an your family the very best.
Looks great Steve!!! Have a great holiday & let's kick some ass in '23!!!
Love those boots. I’m sure they’ll appreciate the professional work done on them! Hugz, Tree
I love watching a man work, and you are as always, incredibly masterful!
Thank you Steve!
Those boots turned out absolutely fabulous!!!
Awesome work on those beat up boots. They are ready for tough work now. Looking forward to the next video.
HI, STEVE!!! I've been watching you long enough to know that as soon as even I saw that footbed, that you'd never reuse it, because you're a perfectionist. You are a true, old school, dying art craftsman. Hope you get caught up, but rest at the same time! LOL Happy Holidays, Steve!
Thanks for making a video for these - a bit of everything in this one. Good looking boots.
Those Are Some Really Cool Boots 😊😀❤️ Great Job Steve
Genius at work! Always fantastic work! Thanks, Steve!
Wow! What a fantastic job you have done restoring the boots. You are a true craftsman. Hello from Australia 🇦🇺
Steve you outdid yourself! These boots now have a new life ahead of them! Impressive work!
Good Job. the new sole looks good, not too thick.
Sometimes the vibram lug sole make a thicker look to the boot.
Good boots given a touch of magic😊
Great work Steve. They look new boots head. Fine project you teach as well as repair . Shine on.
Those look like US Military/ Gov issue boot. Couple of different manufacturers. Most of the ones I issued out were from Bilt-right.
Great job, Steve. And easy to watch. Thank you.
Спасибо, за Ваш труд. Прекрасные работы по ремонту обуви и сумок. Отличные ролики. Всё понятно и с юмором. Смотрю Вас давно и жду новых выпусков. Удачи.
Good work and good eye catching the name. Don't feel bad that happens to everyone at times.
Enjoy and love watching your video's of all different makes of repairs.Your skilled , at all leather work that comes your way.
The Nylon sole is very stiff, which helps when you are in hooks all day on poles. Also the strong heel is what keeps the hooks in place. Thanks for the video's.
Steve, we get it. It's early. I don't get up that early, so I can't say anything!😜
AMAZING!!! Steve I’m always impressed!!
Perfection as always! A true joy to watch. 👍🏽
A linesmen boot is a kind of a boot, not the manufacture.
The boot and 13 nails are there for "utility line men" to climb wooden poles. The heel cannot tear off.
This facilitates catching the heel on a wooden utility poles' climbing pegs or the use of climbing hooks that strap to the inside of his leg (if no pegs exist). In addition, arborists use the boots to climb trees with a set of hooks.
There's a lot of work that goes into repairing the boots thank you 1st time watching
Good morning ☀️😃🌞 hope you are doing well enjoy your day
Another Great video. So relaxing to just sit back and watch you work your magic.
Incredible Steve!!
I have watched some of your videos three times, Steve!
❤️❤️❤️
you scare me with that dull chisel. OMG the force your putting on that. I hope i didn't jinx you. keep 'em coming and thanks.
🤣🤣🤣
I'd have lost one or more fingers if I were, um, in his shoes.
Awesome skill level and the kind of integrity not often seen in todays business world bravo😁!!!
You made that look easy.
Holaaa, gran trabajo como siempre. Feliz Navidad y un próspero año Nuevo, salud y felicidad, desde Málaga España. Un abrazo
OMG They turned out AMAZING~! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Clinch nailing used to be common in woodworking, especially in the making of doors & crates. Now, it is used almost exclusively in the making and repair of footwear.
Another one! Amazing job as usual Steve! I was sitting here with my wife, and she actually asked a question! She may just start enjoying the recrafting of shoes/boots like me! Have Merry Christmas and happy new year Steve!
You as well
Excellent work and earnest customer relationship.
Always amazing work you do Sir!
Like those. I was a telephone installer in the USAF and one of our instructors at the pole climbing field had a pair. Always wanted a set just couldn't afford them. I'm curious as to what caused the hole, wouldn't have been climbers. They maybe would wear back around the arch but not up the boot like that. Probably something that the owner did every day though.
I'm the customer. I bought these boots long ago, used, from a friend who used them for motocross racing. the hole is from the shifter!
Hammer 🔨 time 😊
The master did it again! 👌🏻👌🏻
Great Job as always Steve 👍
Hey man! Not enough hammer time...let's continue
Outcome looks great as always.
Awesome work as always Steve and good on you for going the extra mile to guarantee your work!
الله يبارك بك ويرزقك على عملك المخلص هذا
Thanks for the video. Boots look great
That was really funny!! //Lars
"Hey man!! What's up wit dat excessive Hamma Time????? You hurtin my delicate ears man". LOL Great job bring those boots back to life Steve. 👍
Another fine job Steve! Merry Christmas 🎄Beautiful craftsmanship
You do a really good job of explaining everything. Thank you!
There is a lot more to those boots than just toughness, They have to withstand daily use with climbing gaffs but more importantly, they have to be certified to withstand a certain amount of voltage. They are not just something to look cool at the club, they are very much a piece of safety equipment.
You showed those boots who's boss!!!!
Another great job. Thanks Steve. You're the best.
I love all your videos Steve.
Thank you very much for it, i enjoying them a lot.
can you make a video of making shoes from scratch.
at your own design including the foot model and all around it.
I will love seeing this.
Another beautiful job
Let's continue 👍💫
All I can say is wow
Oh gosh! They look amazing 😊
Come sempre un lavoro eccezionale BRAVO!!!
Ciao
man the skiving skills are insane like I can't do a skive cut with a utility knife on a curved metal last
Working overhead in an urban environment, we shunned vobram soles solely becauseif you stepped on a "land mine" placed by the family dog, it was tougher to clean the boot. In a more rural environment, maybe I'd go for the Vibrams.
#LEGIT!!! Steve you are a Ninja!!
Great job! Thank you for the video! Upcoming holidays!
Amateur cobbler here but my heal pry is an old chisel I heated up and put a bend in.
Great video thanks again.
This isn't going to be a long video and we end up with 34 minute long video.. love it... Btw, does anyone else miss the hot cork as much as do?
Yeh that is cool
Hey Steve, a quick shoe question: I've seen a lot of leather-soled shoes with the Italian phrase "Vero Cuoio" (i.e. "real leather") on the outsoles. While many of those shoes are made in Italy, I've seen others that aren't. For example, some Stuart Weitzman shoes have the phrase on their outsoles despite the shoes being made in Spain. I asked UNIC (the Italian tanners' association) about this, and they said that "Vero Cuoio" is a trademark that currently guarantees that at least the wet finishing of the sole leather was done in Italy, but when I asked one of Cuoio di Toscana tanneries (which produce sole leather in Tuscany), they told me that only the phrase "Vero Cuoio Italiano" ("real Italian leather") or the Cuoio di Toscana logo guarantees that the sole leather is of Italian origin. Do you know anything that could help clear up my confusion?
Unfortunately not
This was a great episode. I'm thinking on embarking on trying to make a shoe myself. I've been slowly gathering the required bits. Time and experience stand against me, but these more ... technical episodes are a treasure trove of information.
Another awesome job.
Fantastic work!!!
Have a great holiday! 👍👍👍👍
Merry Christmas to the Bedo Family.
Thanks,,,,,I like what you do 👀👍😎🇨🇦
