Good idea. I think you'd get a lot of views if you used a decent mic and stuck more variety of shots in. Even if the footage isn't of your house... i.e generic footage/diagrams of the various technologies on show. Good luck!
That's right. Passive solar just refers to the age-old wisdom of letting the sun into your home, and having thermal mas inside to store heat. Passivhaus is more of a 'brand' with stringent rules and official certification. Its more costly to achieve this and in my opinion in cool temperate Australia its overkill to achieve good comfort throughout the year.
@@enduringdomainarchitecture that's good to know, thank you for responding. I'm so interested in all of this, I wish our government would take these principles on board and implement them into building practices. I would love it if all Aussies had access to this!
Cool video. If I may offer an editing tip: the background audio of the birds and crickets and such is beautiful, but the cuts in the intro are jarring. I’d just pull the audio from a longer clip and use that under all your video transitions to keep the soundscape consistent. Pretty easy to do and will be big improvement! Cheers!

Looks great!
Is passive solar just less stringent than passivhaus builds?

@@beatsg We do have a 7-star minimum energy efficiency requirement now, so new builds should be getting a bit better.

That's actually a really helpful tip, thank you. Still learning here.
