Justice Chandrachud said that 👇🏼👇🏼
🔥 🔥 “Given the prolific writer that Justice Ramasubramanian is, nobody would have guessed that he was not exposed to English Literature until his late teens, and I mentioned this as a message to our young juniors at the Bar, irrespective of the backgrounds from which we come, irrespective of the fact that we have all learnt in a language medium, judges like Justice Ramasubramanian furnish a living example that your dreams are for you to pursue. As it is said, if your reach is not greater than your grasp, what is heaven meant for? 🔥🔥
🔥 🔥 In the initial years of his litigation years, brother Ramasubramanian struggled financially like every other young lawyer. The lack of decent pay for young litigating lawyers has always been a hindrance to professional achievement. I have heard that Rama’s mother would give him 2 Rupees and 50 paisa every day. He would spend 1 Rupee and 50 paisa on travel to and from the Court, 75 paisa on lunch and 25 paisa on tea. I sometimes tend to exaggerate, but I am sure on this one, I am absolutely accurate. In more ways than one, just as Ramasubramanian’s life and the struggles that he faced to reach the Supreme Court are a testament that there is no substitute for hard work. For it is only hard work and perseverance that will help you reach the pinnacle of success.” 🔥🔥
Indeed, it is a milestone not many from a humble background achieve.
