I’ve been subscribed to China Uncensored for about three or four years now, and it’s been instrumental in helping me and members of my family learn the full extent of some of the CCP’s atrocities (such as the Uyghur genocide and, fittingly, it persecution of Falun Gong practitioners) along with the threat it poses.

No. You missed out one very important piece history, which is why the CCP sees Falungong as a threat. They organized a mass protest in front of Chungnanhai in the '80s. Although CCP is not the target of this protest, nor is it anything relates to politics, but still, the ability of mobilizing so many people is not left unnoticed.

Don't forget the Chinese "Barefoot Doctors" which was institutionalized under Mao. Basic health training and a pack of acupuncture needles and they could cure anything (not really) but did lead to the Declaration of Alma-Ata (1978) and eventually recognized by the WHO and it's "Health for All" initiative. - The CCP did go off the deep end into hell with the Falun Gong though.

The term “open secret” is an ironic oxymoron. The use by the Chinese state of human beings as livestock from which to harvest organs is an open secret. Keeping the practice a genuine secret would have ended harvesting as a tool of terror. Simply admitting to the practice would compel foreign officials, capitalists, and consumers to do more to resist it. From the perspective of the Chinese state, the pseudo-secrecy offers the best option. From the perspective of most foreigners, the pseudo-secrecy is a second-best situation.
