2:50 Yes I remember after each surgeries my mom read the directions about how to take care of me after I got home from Each heart surgery!!!!!! 🤒🤕🤪👩🦳💁🤺👩👦👦
5:30. Yes I remember my last surgery the worst part was when I woke up and realized what poor shape I was in . Hurt like hell and I can't move!!!!! 🐷🐀🐹🐉🦈
If it weren’t so horrifying, it would actually be funny listings to the cheerful voice telling you what to expect after something like this. I’ve come to realize that medical professionals do not want to point out the agony you will go through because they don’t want to scare anyone away from the surgery. As for me,I’ll take death before open heart surgery. As long as I can find a good hospice program.
I had open heart surgery 10 days ago. Every nurse and cardiac PA said taking out the tubes doesn't hurt. I thought BS. I asked this one PA if it hurts, she said, "Hell Yes!" I asked to be doped to the gills. She did, gave in injections and pills of major pain meds, I still screamed when they pulled them. My God, It was horrible.

You don't explain all that will be done to the patient. Why not? This doesnt let the patient give informed consent. You don't explain about being stripped and exposed totally, catheterized and how many people will be watching, and many of opposite gender than you.
FL DP it’s to not scare you or give you any stress. This is about the patient’s experience, not the doctor’s experience. All that will happen to the patient is he/she will get an IV line injected into them, they’ll be sent to off, out under general anaesthetic and then the next thing you know you’ll be awake in a different room. By agreeing to the surgery you’ve already given consent to everything and if you don’t give consent to something on the day then they can’t do the surgery and the doctor will most likely be a bit annoyed.
@@AB-wm6hp It's funny, but by arriving at the hospital in the first place you are giving consent in a way- you are THERE, that means you want to be there.
Because once you are "out" you aren't going to see or know about anything, so what if the DOCTORS and NURSES see you naked?? they are medical professionals not pizza delivery drivers, they see naked bodies of every kind inside and out every hour all day long! Believe me, the people in the OR etc are way too busy and occupied with getting your case set up, and the surgery, they don't have time to stand there while you get a catheter inserted to think "wow, what great TITS!!! I wanna bang that!!" If you are getting abdominal or chest surgery you WILL be naked and seen by everyone in the OR, you can't do surgery on someone chest with the patient having a bra and shirt on!
