I know almost nothing of the technicalities of singing - and yet I couldn't stop watching this. Kara is a true professional who clearly knows her stuff. Refreshing to see this.
I don't understand why so many people hate Kara. Really. Give her a break. She is giving Megan some great advice here. And it's not like she can explain all of this in a 15 second judging croteque. (She can do part of it though). I think Kara is a really good solid judge, and IMO the BEST as far as giving actual structured constructive advice. Simon is the best at being blatantly honest, but I have never felt like he is really constructively turning the contestant in the right direction.
i don't get why sooo many people don't like kara. she's a brilliant songwriter, she produces, and she was in a band (platinum wierd.) so she KNOWS the buisness inside out and upside down! she knows what execs are looking for, and she knows what it feels like to get up and sing in front of an audience. i do wish paula would have stayed, because i love her too. but if paula had to leave, i can't think of a better person to hand the reigns to.-fallon
i would LOVE to sit down with Kara and have her give me advice on my voice! She's awesome! She's got some really great advice and good things to say! I wish i had that opportunity!
Great advice & encouragement from Kara, very interesting. I love Megan Joy!! Looking forwar to hearing her next songs. I can't believe she didn't even know what a key was before Idol. I love her voice style.
I love this - it not only shows Kara's mentoring skills, but shows where Megan Joy is in her journey. Now, after recording her first album and preparing her second, she's come a long way in figuring out where the best placement for her is. What a voice she has! She was rehearsing in our living room preparing to film for the movie Writer's Cramp. She could be heard all through the house - it gave me goose bumps (in a good way) although I was at the other end of the house.
I don't care what anyone says about Kara, I think she's really cool and especially a good mentor after watching Kara take Megan through to help her. I think she gave some great advice.
Kara is the best person for this job! She is absolutely beautiful and talented! I agree with Elfie76 she is super humble and gorgeous inside and out!!! Go Team Kara!!!
@retissi1 I wear ballet flats pretty much everyday and I constantly slip them on and off, but don't actually take them off. When you point your foot like she did the back comes down.

I wish Kara was mentoring on Xfactor instead of Britney or Demi. She's incredible and she knows what she's talking about instead of saying the same thing for every good performance. Britney=I was not expecting that, I wasn't so sure and now I'm a believer. Demi=you have something behind your eyes... Like wtf? Be specific. Make real critiques. Five year olds can make those comments. Ugh. But anyways, Kara would be great on Xfactor.
