What a great conversation, straight facts. What is school teaching our kids? Nothing that would be used for their future... we need more of these podcasts. 👏👍

I am so thoroughly impressed at what this man has overcame and the amount of knowledge that he has acquired, but I would be terrified if he was my father. He expects so much from his children, “memorize these words from the dictionary, learn 12 languages, never drink or eat anything bad for you, follow my religion and my god.” He also playfully mentions topics of physical abuse and corporal punishment. Kids raised in this environment spiral when given freedom and move away. Not to mention if his child happened to be gay and disowned. Homeschooling all kids is crazy. Making your kids carbon copies of yourself is crazy. My parents sent me to public school allowed me to use resources in my community and encouraged me to meet other kids. If it wasn’t for this exposure I would likely be an incredibly homophobic racist and classist person. I can’t understate the importance of meeting people who were different, and often more knowledgeable, then my parents as I was a young boy. His parenting approach seems to be an overreaction to the lack of order, discipline and love he received in his childhood. This overreaction is far too much. I wish the best to him and I hope he will love and accept his children and encourage them to follow their natural interests.
