Something to note at 4:00
On the mixer he has all of his effects First, Then he has his EQs to get rid of Bad frequencies, that some effects may add.
So when adding effects sometimes don't EQ until after you've added them.
And I'm guessing the reason the reverb is after the EQs is to make sure the reverb doesn't get effected by the EQs and Effects.
its so that it amplifies the eq'ed sound do it doesn't reverb bad frequencies. don't be afraid to put eq's before FX because sometimes you get completely different tones with distortion and stuff if you eq before the effect
@@Tristan_Willcox I know you can put EQ's first, just saying what he did for that sound. Not everything.
If you're going to put a compressor on the sound, it's better to put a subtractive EQ first so the compressor doesn't trigger from the bad frequencies (lose the sub frequencies in a lead that you're anyway going to cut out). Then you can put your FX and a final EQ at the end to clean up the sound or as an additive EQ
You would EQ before FX if you want to remove frequencies that you don't want the FX to bring out.
EQ after fx to remove the unwanted frequencies fx/plugins have created.
just remember that if you don't EQ some nasty frequencies out before you put a bunch of FX on them, those nasty frequencies will be even louder and harder to EQ out afterwards.
Saturation/Distortion type stuff is nice before EQ because those actually add harmonics, so they kinda hide the unwanted frequencies or wash them out.

It is a good reminder for us, "bedroom producer", to not hesitate to use our own voice in our productions! With some effects (hello vocoder!), it can really make the tracks more professional and especially make the track more personnal 🙌
When your in the channel rack, if you hold control or command and left click you can solo a channel. Similarly when your in the arrangement, if you right click the switch on the track title, it'll solo that track!
I have installed fl studio 20 days before. And i keep on discovering sounds, plugins and preset. Really impressed with your music, and i felt like , wow, how could it be. I play piano for almost eleven years and i still can't make a song. I really hope one day i can be a professional Producer like u, Mesto. Lastly, hope you stay safe too and i hope to listen to more of your music in the future.

Use the arrangement trick you can really easy switch between ideas you want to try out. It is the button next to all your tools that says "arrangement". I swear to god this is so helpfull if you want to try an idea without making your project messy. so if you dislike the change you made, you can just go back to arrangement 1.
