Moral of the story: Don't take drugs and prepare for the worst by saving even a little as you can and never touch it. We are all just a heartbeat away from disaster even people who seem to have everything going for them. It's all about choices.
Many people have drugs and are the most successful people on the planet. Moral of the story is don’t make excuses you make what and who you are. Push push push. Don’t hold back on personal growth.
Well done lady and still standing strong
good riddense
Lol
😫so glad she found a home I remembered giving what I had to her when I lived in enderly and see her sitting in front of the shops walking past her from school😔
Kia kaha sis . At least you are trying .
I always give money, buy pie and drink for the homeless when I see them. If your serious about starting a cake/baking business, work with wins to cross your t’s and dot your i’s, get a solid work plan down then take that plan to your iwi and get half of the funding from them and wins will pay for the other half and if you need training your iwi should pay for that at uni. You’ve had a tuff life but your got the right attitude “Diamonds are made from Pressure” you are an inspiration to all those people that don’t see a way out, Kia Ora Mana Wahine!
Cant spell
I left Hamilton in April 2019. I was never homeless. Get a job. Share accommodation with workers if you can find them. People are stronger in numbers. Just need some brains to mobilise them.
I hope this woman finds her feet and life continues to get better for her ! Kia kaha
Really sad that life choices made in life led to this.

Yeah, we got homeless in Hastings too, yet we can build a $19mil playground at Cornwall Park. And now the Hastings City Council is requesting the government help them with the homeless! ARE YOU SERIOUS COUNCILLORS! I hope none of use were re-elected! APPARENTLY, Napier is building a $40mil playground! WHY THE HELL ARE WE ELECTING OUT-OF-CONTROL SPENDING, THOUGHTLESS COUNCILLORS!
But at least this Maori got her kind in parliament to help their people, But not for a European person

The avocado (Persea americana) is a medium-sized, evergreen tree in the laurel family (Lauraceae). It is native to the Americas and was first domesticated in Mesoamerica more than 5,000 years ago. Then as now it was prized for its large and unusually oily fruit.[3] The tree likely originated in the highlands bridging south-central Mexico and Guatemala.[4][5][6] Its fruit, sometimes also referred to as an alligator pear or avocado pear, is botanically a large berry containing a single large seed
her situation is 100percent self inflicted. Always drugs involved. People are dumb! Her kids deserve better!
Matt Pazz not every thing is black and white , nor does everyone have picture perfect circumstances in your judgemental and ignorant view.
@@flynnmcnally7870 we all have choices and brains. Why choose drugs over ya children? Life is 40% circumstance, 60% choice.. 🤷♂️
Rental market is very competitive. Can't help who rental agencies rent houses too. That's a legitimate fact.
The lady said herself in the program. I tried crack and liked it!!! Lol enough said! Lost my sympathy from that point on.
dont u believe in 2nd chances? surley yourve fucked up in ur life maybe not as bad as this story...but good on this lady for not giving up kiakaha paula keep pushing forward
Crack is cocaine not meth . NZ doesn't have crack ...meth rules
I knew this was related to drugs. Poor kids that had to have parents like this!
we are all swimming in toxins. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MRC-5
So sad kim
God bless you...
Discusting looking lot , no wonder they can't rent anywhere
Ratshit. Good on you girl
NOT A GOOD OUTLOOK ON LIFE OR THE FUTURE ??? SMARTEN UP GIRL ???
You have a choice people choose to live on the street
And all the gangs run around with no consequences.
Fearfield
Your doing this to yourselves.
Aww stop being freckin judgemental. Who are you huh?
beingme so having a opinion is being judgemental?
beingme she chose DRUGS that’s what got her there.
The ending of this video was hopeful. She managed to get a state house which is one step forward to getting her life back on track and you’re here talking about what she did in the past? You’re horrible.
keep your head up x
Good on you girl 🤗🍀🙏 4 your moko's.
sharky, its a nightmare (
You are a strong and brave woman, Paula, and I am holding you in prayer.
Sad
hope shes well now
All the best onelove
great insight on a global problem
Hard out
So disappointing i blame nz government for not making housing more affordable for kiwis
It's sad to see the amount of people who just ignore others in these tough situations.
"she put herself there" and "she done that to herself"
She has acknowledged and accepted the fact that she put herself there and is trying her hardest to get herself out.
Maybe just step off your high horse and lend someone a hand sometime.
If you are worried about giving someone money cause it might feed a bad habit, then don't give them money.
Instead, buy them a nice warm dinner and a drink. Maybe some new shoes or warm clothes.
Money isn't the only way to help someone.
Wow who would have thought a crack addiction would lead to this. It’s almost like making poor choices leads to a poor quality of life :o :o
So what happened to the boyfriend unemployed ?? Must of been dumped eventually before her life started getting better
Very sad. God bless her .
That first place was in napier
So sad😢
Good on you Paula
god bless
What an inspiration. Kia kaha sis
Kyle Rerekura Going on crack and becoming homeless isn’t inspiring.
@@leeanneryda6051 you're not inspiring.
It was actually the other way around, had you paid attention.
Kyle Rerekura I’m not trying to inspire anybody, my bad although going on crack WHILE homeless isn’t the right choice she had an opportunity to get out of being homeless yet chose crack 🤷♀️
@@leeanneryda6051 Did we both watch the same video?
Because that's exactly what happened. She was in a shitty situation and got herself out of it? Now has her own place, where the mokopuna/grandchildren can come stay. I'll say it again. Inspirational. Stop being so judgemental. SMH
Leeanne Ryda maybe you should watch the video again and LISTEN
Tu meke
Sad
Hamilton yeah the boys
Back in *86,* I was walking with *5 of the boys* on *Snell dr,* when this tall, pretty, lush Maori girl was walking toward us, it was *Paula.*
We opened like the red sea... as she walked between us, she was wearing white sneakers, tight jeans, half top T and a demin jacket. Hard to believe but *back then Paula* was 🤤🤤🤤🤤
*straight up.* I was *13* attending *Fairfield Intermediate* and would see her around and just look at her 😍
She may have been about *15* and attending *Fairfield College* 💪🏾at the time.
