Best review ever! You touched upon all the important points. Well done.
I decided for the Arc XL, super happy. The wood firing I probably would have used only very occasionally
I love your reviews, I feel it’s the same as if I were reviewing. My brother has a gozney dome, and I agree with everything you said about it, so that makes me trust your arc and xl review
I totally need more of this vids. Thanks for doing these!!
@@labalo5 glad you enjoyed
The after market biscotto stones are really nice
I’ve had my Dome since Sept. 2022 & a Roccbox Dec. 2022. I like making Bread 🍞 & use Lodge cast iron bread pans. So can you make a video with some tips for bread making. I have the Gozney door for the dome & made a cheese baguette type thing that turned out ok but not great. I’ve made what I like to call blob bread which is just a round loaf with parchment paper in my Green Egg with a pizza stone.
That's a great idea
where do i get the door for the Arc XL?
This might be a dumb question but... what if I'm using the Arc XL indoors - what kind of ventilation is 100% needed, and is the vent on top the Dome made for more multi=purpose type cooking? Cheers
Literally trying to make this decision right now 😅
It's a tuff one
My local Home Depot has a used Dome for 750 and an XL for 799. I would still take the XL. The flame makes more sense when it’s in front of you.
@@Sig_P229 I'm in Hawaii so my decision has to be a sure thing. Just the shipping cost for a dome is $350-$500
What's the chance for Gozney to release a new Dome in 2025 that has the larger opening and all the other benefits of the Arc XL? It seems like a combination of the two models would be the best choice...
I love your comparison vids and this is no exception. The Arc XL is on my short list, along with the Ooni Koda 2 Max. I know that in your previous comparisons Gozney won out over Ooni, but the Koda 2 Max seems different and unique for Ooni because of its size, dual burner placement, and natural gas option. Any chance you’ll have the opportunity to review one of those?
Was going to upgrade my koda 16 to a Gozney arc xl but that sexy Koda 2 max could change everything
That and the fact that Gozney custumer supports sucks…
can you ARC XL with a skillet or similar to cook meat\fish or vaggies?
I cook steak better than any restaurant on the Arc XLs
Can you comment on making bread in the arc xl? Ever tried it?
I tried it with focaccia...I burnt it...convection oven is better
Heat up time is a bit exaggerated IMO. If you want to bake proper pizza, you have to prepare the dough in advance and time the baking. So factoring in a 20-minute vs. 40-minute heat-up time is not a real problem. You light up the oven first, and while you prep the ingredients for the toppings and stuff, your oven gets to temp. Having a larger heated mass in an oven will result in a more authentic Neapolitan bake on the pizzas too. However, if you bake 2 pizzas with store-bought dough once a month, go for a cheap oven.
I live in a townhouse. The Arc will fit through the back door. The XL not. Easy decision.
Had and loved my Roccbox for four years. Arc heats up more slowly, but offers an overall all better user experience and consistent pizza
