Believe me, wet and windy walks in the UK are something that I thoroughly enjoy. It may sound a bit strange, but it is one thing that I desperately miss about being in England, that feeling of being at home. It was interesting as I watched when you came across the William of Orange proclamation. I love fascinating stories like that, things that you wouldn't immediately know about a place. To be honest, all I knew about Newton Abbott was that they had a racetrack, lol.

The market walk upgrade is kind of funny. The canopy isn't long enough and then it comes out into a massive open area that looks old and dull. I wish they had repaved with the newer paving all the way up the high street rather than ending at Austins.

We were in the same areas... just so glad we didn’t have so much rain! Since we don’t live in Britain, we had a very limited time to do all of our vlogging! Nice to see that you use an umbrella to keep your gimbal and camera dry... I was wondering about that!

I've only just found this. Thanks for the positive comments on my home town, sadly like a lot of town centres it has changed a lot. Newton Abbot is an old market town and the clock tower actually used to have a chapple attached. It's claim to fame is that in 1688 William of Orange landed in nearby Brixham and marched to Newton Abbot and was proclaimed king of England.

Isn't it strange how everyone's different? I see so many comments here saying 'lovely town' or 'relaxing walk' and that's great. But personally, I picked up the atmosphere in this town was almost like someone had died. Everyone seemed as if the very life had been sucked out of them. I lived in Newton Abbot for over ten years and it was pretty nice although certainly not exciting. But I remember it being so much more full of life with people laughing even on cold wet wintery days. Thanks for the walk anyway.

That's my home town I live just outside of their and that tower on the right at 1:15 is where I go to the kingdom hall of Jehovah's witnesses it amazing what they do there! 👌🏼🙂
