Thanks for posting this. My great grandfather was a bucket man on the Hullets in Ashtabula Harbor. They were scrapped many years ago, but they saved a bucket for display at Point Park overlooking the harbor. Last I knew, it’s still there.
That is unforgivable sacrilege allowing historic machinery to be cut up. They promised that one would be reassembled and set up for visitors to see. I would have loved to see them running. WHY destroy a country's history?🤬😢
The Port of Cleveland wants to use the space for business development and more cargo handling. That whole part of Whiskey Island is technically the Cleveland Bulk Terminal.
Hello Dorjän, I'm working on a follow up video about the imminent scrapping of Cleveland's two Huletts. Would I be able to use footage from your video in mine? Send me an email through my channel page.
self-unloader eliminated all of that. BTW Hulett was a brand name and they did not all look like that. Ford's Huletts had a cable bucket and a folding arm.
No, because it sat not in the ocean and was also contaminated by radiation like all the other scrap. But the first question is a very very good question.

Nice video. Sad we couldn't gather the interest and funds to keep 1 for to show off along the river.
What is the reason? They aren't taking up much space.

They should save something for a Museum.
Who is getting the money from the scrapping out? I would bet that the pre atomic age ww 2 steel is worth a lot of money to someone.

If y'all could try to call these people maybe you could stop this and save at least one of them
They’ve been calling for close to 30 years.
Can't believe their getting cut up! Complete disrespect to the industrial history of our nation.. Oh well, nothing is sacred in America anyway!
