    The reason your goats are not eating your grass is because they aren't a grazing animal. They are foragers and prefer to eat above their heads. 😊

    • @debrasnipes7431
      @debrasnipes7431 11 месяцев назад +2

      They preference to eat overhead, but they certainly will clean a field of grass if they don’t have any overhead vegetation left.

    Once again, an informative yet personable reel highlighting all the facets of gardening prep and planting. Love seeing all the children in their various roles in getting the whole job done. Loved seeing Anna Mae and Abigail work diligently in gathering forage for the goats and out of the blue little Rebekah makes an appearance. Whenever I watch a video of your family, my heart and soul are lavished with gratitude for these children. With all the pieces of my heart, ❤️ Mary Ann

    My grandma use to put egg shells, coffee grounds, heads of fish, banana peels,etc in her garden then turn the soil over for fertilizer.The garden was in her back yard in Illinois.She grew,green onions, tomato, green beans,corn, cabbage,beets,gords.I loved as a little girl to take a salt shaker and eat tomatoes. My grandma used to keep a quart mason jar full of water for watering her indoor house plants that she had put eggs shells in, also. And she always had beautiful house plants. Everyone always just bragged and bragged about her Christmas cacti. ❤

    I hope you are doing well. I loved your video.
    I need prayers. I have severe migraine. More than 15 days a months since many months and since the 16th of November I haven't had a day without it. I live practically in the dark, because of the light sensibility. Because it is so severe I will get more than 30 Botox injections tomorrow morning. Please pray that I can bare the pain of the injections and the it will help.
    Thank you so much. 🥰

    Janice..You have awesome hard working children, amazing all they do! What I don’t see is any of them having playtime.!!! Would b nice to see that!! Seems ur always just videoing, telling them what to do……I’ve been watching ur channel for awhile now and all I’ve seen is Sara doing all the cooking, baking etc.! Maybe she could video instead sometimes or…. U could prop the camera up and show us more of u doing things.. Thank u…..

    • @ozarkfamilyhomestead
      @ozarkfamilyhomestead  10 месяцев назад +1

      Well, Glenna, you should probably watch more of our videos then because there are plenty showing my children having playtime! You'll be able to see them having fun on our farm and even a little bit of them playing with friends that didn't mind being on film. Also, please realize that you see a small fraction of our lives. You will never see all the work I do nor all the playtime the children have. We pick and choose the parts that we choose to share with the public. I can assure you that my children have a healthy balance of work and play and I am working constantly...to the point that I am rarely in bed before midnight. Running a homestead, raising seven children, homeschooling them, keeping our household running, coordinating community groups, and managing a very busy RUclips channel is plenty to keep me constantly busy!!! Thanks for watching!

    Do the ducks just automatically put themselves back in their pen each evening??? Did you have to train them to do that? Do the chickens do the same thing?

    • @ozarkfamilyhomestead
      @ozarkfamilyhomestead  11 месяцев назад

      Hey Krista! When our chickens are little and just big enough to move from a brooder with a heat lamp to the official chicken coop, we actually lock them up inside the coop for about 3 solid days. This seems to implant in their mind that the coop is "home." After those 3 days, we allow them to free-range with the rest of the flock. Some of them automatically return home every evening and others have to be physically returned to home each night for a while, but they do all eventually get it! Ducks, on the other hand, just seem to be better about knowing where home is. We have not locked them up for 3 days like we do the chickens, but the ducks still know where home is supposed to be. :)
