    I have purchased many Galen products over the years. All fantastic products for writers and bullet journalists.

    The folio is lovely. I went back and forth due to the price but eventually decided to buy it, and I do not regret it. I just ordered their slip and zip pen case because I loved their folio so much. Great review!

    Oh cool, it's a Turkish company. I saw the tea and I was like, hey, that's some pretty good tea!

    Do you hear that sound? That high pitched keening? That's my Wallet crying out in pain as I shop the Galen Leather Website because of you Bradley! I think the Folio is out of my Price Range at the moment (darn Canadian Exchange Rates) but I am getting some of those A5 Notebooks, those look amazing and I do love me some Tomoe River Paper!

    Liked your stay calm video! Also great to see this product reviewed! I’ve been eyeing it on the website for awhile (I want the green one!) but wanted to see it in depth rather than just static photos. This looks like a nifty bit of analog gadgetry goodness!

    The Galen A5 leather zip folio is similar to the MOD from This Is Ground, which has gone out of business. MODs cost over $300 and had snap-in leather inserts to customize the inside. Shinola's Tech Portfolio is $395. From that perspective, the Galen is more affordable and a little easier to save up for.

    That isn't blotting PAPER, it is a thin sheet of leather.

    Are there any traveler style a5 notebooks. I carry two moleskines and would like to carry one notebook but be able to divide them into smaller books. I have a passport style notebook from amazon that i use as a notebook wallet. I love it but would like to have that in an a5 format which I enjoy writing in.

      I am using the Erin Condren petite planner folio. I had trouble finding a full width option- even though many are labeled as A5, they are narrower.

      That's unfortunate, David. 119.00 is a more-than fair price for handmade quality leather folios. I wouldn't have been shocked had it been 150.00. I guess we each have to decide what our price limits are, but I am more than happy with the value I'm getting for the money.

  • @735Secure
    @735Secure 4 года назад +1

    very overpriced coming from Turkey. Should cost half the price given the Turkey quality and workmanship.

    • @JACathcart5181
      @JACathcart5181 2 года назад +2

      This is wrong on so many levels. Have you ever been to Turkey? Istanbul has a long, rich history of excellent leather products. In addition, this particular brand does not mass-produce their products in a sweat shop. These are hand-made by the founders of the company and they take great pride in their craftsmanship. I would suggest doing a little research before making such broad, biased statements. For the exceptional quality of these folios I would have happily paid 150.00 for one.
