- It goes up!
I found later that both the front hydraulic rams had the top collar nuts loose that hold in the o ring,, that's why it went up crooked and had excessive oil on the shaft.
Added info on the pump, the electric pump raises the top really fast, but in really cold temps I now use the manual pump so I can raise it slowly, the oil is very thick when it is near freezing.
I reported one comment for porn spam and they all went away! Ask a question on one of my other videos and i can respond
I have watched your videos several times now, and they were what made my mind up to drive 2 hours across Western Sask to pick up my new (to me) 10ft Alaskan camper. It had set out in a field for a few decades left to the elements to be defiled. It is a 1967 NCO 10ft, and the inside looks seldom used, It pumped right up and is calling to me in my back drive to come get it ready to use. I'm beyond excited to get going on it. Thanks for your vids.
Thanks.
Lotsa really good info.
The body cam was making me nausiated but I gleaned a bunch of good things from your video. I have a 1975 Alligator (canvas pop up) made in Claresholm Alberta. It's coming apart pretty good. I have to beef it up with angle metal, 2x2s, and screws.
Yes I am going to need to beef mine up some too, 50 year old campers do show their age on washboard roads and off roading.
Nice set up.
Thank you I really happy with it
Great Video. I noticed you have something other than carpet on the flip up walls. Mine has shag carpet. What did you use for cushion on the flip up walls? Thanks John
It is some kind of outdoor felt.
Thanks for the video. How does your truck handle with the weight?
It handles well, it does have air bags and nice bilstein shocks. The 3/4 ton Dodge truck without camper is incredibly too stiff, but rides nice with it. When it was on my 3/4 ton Chevy (2003) it felt a bit heavy, even with air bags.
Is yours a 10 footer ? Or your truck got a 6 foot box ?
8 foot bed and 10 foot camper. It is a lot better if the camper matches the bed size, i.e. 8 foot camper on 8 foot bed, it makes it easier to carry bike racks and spare tire and accessories and better for towing a small trailer too.
Cool watching it go up! 😎😁
I like that neighbors camper! 🤣😉
Hey pop up camper buddy!
