We thanked Neliigh Ne for taking care of one of our Ponca children who died along the forced march south The Omahas were able to feed over 500 people that day. We sang, we prayed, we cried and we smiled and laughed with one another. At first I dont think the people in Neligh really understood what we were doing, then they realized that this was all for one little girl, a memorial to her and then some of them they cried too. It was a good day even the spotted eagle came to look at us.
