We had the worst experience while staying in Paradise homestay. They gave two totally different categories of rooms at the same rate. Rate also was quite high in comparison to other homestays. While we protest for giving two different categories of room at same rate ,they started behaving badly. Despite that we six female persons managed to stay in a single four bed room leaving those two different rooms. They not even lower the charges for that rather gave our previous booked rooms to other tourists. From very beginning their behaviour was so inhospitable and rude. When next day we wanted to check out due to their rude behaviour they literally threatened us. Threw our money on the floor, pressurizing for more money, almost double. They threatened our driver who came to pick up us for next destination and sent him back. They literally tried to confine us in their homestay. But luckily somehow we managed to get out of that home stay after paying extra charges. The lady owner and one male person were there, both are dangerous and terrifying. My aged mother fell sick due to their hostile behaviour. We have been travelling to mountains for years but we never ever had this kind of horrifying experience. Never ever go to this Paradise Homestay at Ahaldara.
Thanks for sharing the information Rajashree..this is really helpful.. but i didnt either refer to paradise homestay.. my choice was different.. but honestly ahaldara view point has become now a days a too much crowded place.. even during weekdays too lots of people come to visit the place which might cause very less breathing space for all ahaldara homestay guests.. I personally felt like i am right now doing a pandal hopping in kolkata during Ashtomi.. when i was standing at Ahaldara.. so staying there for a day in daytime might become hard for some people.. honestly thats my opinionapart from the fact that the place has a eye soothing beautiful view of hills greens n blue sky.. others may have different opinion
yes I know that. Actually I wanted to share my experience through this blog and tried to alert other travellers. Sorry for the inconvenience anyway. It's really a wonderful blog.
