He definitely tried to steal from the wrong person. I guess the Devil saw potential in Little Dice and wanted to recruit him into his ranks but opted to use fear to get him to serve him.

That part when the devil said he would chop of King Dice's hands shocked me!
Any story involving the Devil is bound to be dark especially if it involves King Dice's backstory as someone like Dice had to have had an iffy childhood to be almost as bad as the Devil himself.
