- Sleeping Beauty
Once upon a time, in a beautiful kingdom, there lived a king and queen. Their greatest wish was to have a child. Finally, the queen gave birth to a beautiful daughter, and the king and queen were overjoyed, holding a grand celebration in her honor.
The king invited everyone in the kingdom, including seven kind fairies. Each fairy brought a blessing to the celebration, offering the princess their most precious gifts. One blessed her with unparalleled beauty, another with a voice as sweet as a nightingale, and another with endless wisdom.
However, just as the seventh fairy was about to give her blessing, a cold wind blew, and the doors of the hall suddenly opened. A forgotten evil fairy appeared. Angrily, she said, "I wasn't invited! Fine, I'll give my blessing! When the princess turns sixteen, she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and fall into an eternal sleep!"
Everyone was stunned. The queen could not hold back her tears, and the king was furious, but the evil fairy laughed and disappeared.
At that moment, the seventh fairy stepped forward. She comforted the king and queen, saying, "I cannot fully undo the curse, but I can alter it a little. The princess will indeed fall into a deep sleep, but she will not sleep forever. As long as a prince who truly loves her comes and kisses her, she will wake up."
To protect the princess, the king ordered that all spinning wheels in the kingdom be burned and that no one should use them again. The little princess grew up happily in the palace, beautiful, clever, and kind, beloved by all.
Time passed quickly, and the princess slowly grew older. On her sixteenth birthday, while wandering the palace, she discovered a small room she had never seen before. Curious, she entered and saw an old woman spinning thread. The princess had never seen a spinning wheel before, so she asked, "What is this? Can I try it?"
The old woman smiled and nodded, handing her the spindle. As the princess reached out to take it, her finger was pricked by the sharp needle, and she immediately fell unconscious.
By the time the king and queen arrived, it was too late. The princess lay in an eternal sleep, just as the curse had predicted. Heartbroken, the king and queen placed her on a golden bed and let her sleep in peace.
The seventh fairy appeared again. To keep the princess from being lonely, she used magic to make everyone in the palace fall asleep as well, until the princess woke. Over time, the palace was surrounded by a forest of trees and thorns, making it hard to find, and people began to call her "Sleeping Beauty."
Many years later, a handsome prince heard the tale. He decided to find the forgotten palace and rescue Sleeping Beauty.
The prince, undaunted by the difficulty, cut through the thorns with his sword and finally entered the palace. Walking through the grand hall, he saw a frozen scene: workers were asleep in the middle of their tasks, maidens had dropped threads mid-spin, and it seemed as if the entire world was silent.
Suddenly, the prince discovered a hidden inner room, where there was a bed. On the bed, the princess lay quietly, with a faint smile on her face, as if in a sweet dream.
The prince looked at her, deeply moved. He said, "You are so beautiful." Then he bent down and gently kissed her.
A miracle happened! Sleeping Beauty slowly opened her eyes and smiled at the prince. As she awoke, the entire palace came back to life, and everyone woke from their slumber.
The prince and Sleeping Beauty spoke, and the princess said, "Thank you for saving me." The prince fell deeply in love with her, and she recognized his courage and kindness.
Later, the two held a grand wedding and lived happily ever after.
This story teaches us that love and kindness can overcome any difficulty, and courage and perseverance are key to overcoming challenges. It also reminds us to respect others, cherish unity and care, and learn to wait patiently, as good things will come at the right time.
