Self custody is a real problem. If you have explicit private keys written down they can be discovered. The first Tangem did not reveal the private keys but when I got the device it was Chinese manufactured and arrived from Hong Kong. I wish null-entropy chambers existed - some sort of undetectable physical place to put things. Bank safety deposit boxes can be opened if the government decrees it and even the simple SHTF situation of Covid19 made them inaccessible for a while. The world is getting scarier. I worry about inheritance and about fleeing somewhere with what little wealth I have intact. Whose to say that private organizations like Casa cannot be subpoenaed?

Maybe but not everyone can have a Coinbase account. So alternatives are never a bad thing.
