Ugh, Mini, the one that got away. Yearned for one all through my childhood, test drove a few as a teen soon as I passed, ended up with a Saxo VTR. Very tempted to make one my next daily. Beautiful lil machine you've made.
Car's looking good Alex! Fletcher exhausts are beautifully made works of art. My Mini came with one fitted - but I found it too noisy for the road (and it kept falling off the rubbers!). Gone back to an RC40 as a good compromise on noise and breathing. :-)
Nice car dude! I miss my mini's so much! I've had 2x Park Lane Mini's & 2x '89 Mini City's (1 of which was an auto with a Gold Seal block). Nothing compares to them, not even the POS diesel fiesta I'm currently stuck with.
Number 11 The adapters that allow you to move the seat mounts back a little.. Number 12 the bracket that allows the steering column to drop down a little well on pre 1996 cars anyways
The seat frames I have slide back further than Stock seats and actually touch the rear door bin so putting the brackets on wouldn't be any use. A steering wheel drop would be nice actually 🤔
I'm so jealous of you guys. U have everything to restore and maintain your cars. In south africa good british cars are being scrapped as we don't have spares!i could mot find mains and big ends for my wolseley .i had to clean the points and reuse the condenser.
Toons, great video. Really interested to hear more about your rear shocks. I have GAZ all way round and they are super harsh. On safest setting and not riding on bump stops, but may imperfection in the road just hammers the mini only on the rear.
Such a nice mini, mines in for restoration atm, lots of ideas from this video, thank you :) subscribed. Quick question, how does the roll cage mount to the car?
nice video dude! car looks fantastic and I'm def with you on all the mods! if they look good and don't break the bank, pop them on! Good call with the tail lights too. I always do that change!
Very smart. Is the automatic the original AP gearbox? Personally I always thought the original Mk 1 grilles were the most beautiful. The later ones less so, especially when they were made out of cheap anodised aluminium. So if possible that would always be a priority for me. But it is certainly nice to see the traditional wavy Austin grille slats installed.
Really miss my classic 1988 mini, full bare shell re build, wanted another one ever since I stupidly sold it 12 years ago! Really cool channel buddy, hats off to you..I’m certainly a fan 👌🏼 it’s made really want another classic now.. and ideas on the best places to find them away from the obvious.. eBay/fb marketplace etc. Maybe 5-7k?! Thanks

Wheels look great and hoping to get a set with A008's....but have concerns about catching the wings on full lock. Before you increased the height ...did it clear the front arches when turning and was it on standard height before ? Thanks.
Hi Alex, love the video. Car looks mint. I have a 97 mpi and I like the mk2 lights you have. They look a little smaller than what i have. is it an easy fit? Any tips?
Hi Alex nice video I’ve got one question about de bullet mirrors how is the view? people say you can’t see a thing with those mirrors is that true? I’m considering getting a pair but like mirrors I can see somthing in.
Lovely looking mini, I’ve recently bought one and will be upgrading starting with wheels and exhaust, thanks for the heads up regards Huddersfield mini spares, did you just replace the back box or was it a full system ?
Hi Toony, you're car is mint mate, love it! 2 questions; how do you find the road holding in the wet with the semi-slicks? and should have asked on the live chat..... do you do upper body weights so you can move yourself about (in style)? from chair to floor, car etc.
Hi mate, never had an issue in the wet but I don't use it in the wet much so can't really say, with doing weights I ust to mate but I just don't have time anymore so being active anyway is more than enough
Hi Alex Have seen ya on the other channel your mate doing the brown mini wreck. Could i ask you to show how the cage fits near the rear windows. Did the insurance alter because of the cage mod as you would have to advise of the cage IMO. Hope to hear from ya soon. Regards Don
