  • Today I'll be swapping out the plastic hub centric rings for aluminum ones on the Alltrack's Sparco setup in effort to get rid of the vibrations. Enjoy!

2019 alltrack here, same vibration. swapped wheels to ones with correct hubcentric size, solved alot of the vibration... i still have the same vibration in the seats though...

Interesting, I don't have vibrations on my stock wheels but I haven't had them on in a while. Since I swapped the plastic rings for the aluminum ones, the vibrations haven't been as bad but they come and go which is very weird. I might end up going back to an oem VW wheel and sell this setup soon.

Also make sure that the surface of the rim that the hubs ring sits against is 100% flat. I had some residual junk on mine and a quick scrape with a screwdriver they were fixed. I get the faintest of vibration at 120kph.

Thanks for the feedback! That makes sense especially with the corrosion that can happen in New England

Just keep in mind they aren’t spacers that change the offset of your wheels, they’re hub adapters to make larger bored wheels for smaller sized hubs.

I just purchased a 2017 golf alltrack, my tires feel like there's a flat spot but the tread looks fine. How did you get to the conclusion of these rings??

I have aftermarket wheels that came with a different hub size, which is what the rings are for. If you are on original VW wheels it might be something else such as a bent or unbalanced wheel

Any updates on the slight vibration on the highway that you were still experiencing? I recently had Konig Hypergrams installed on my Jetta wagon by Discount Tire. They forgot to install hub rings entirely. This caused VIOLENT shaking. I installed hub rings and then had the wheels road force balanced by a different shop. The vibration almost completely disappeared, but I still get a slight vibration, exactly like in the video. Did you end up just going back to OEM wheels?

Yeah I ended up lowering my car and going on OEM Tiguan wheels. It seems like this platform is really sensitive to hub centric rings which is unfortunate because I really liked having the off-road setup

Did you put anti seize on the ring surface? I heard if you don’t use anti seize you will have a hard time getting the wheels off

I did not, I also didn't run the wheels for that long but I'm sure it would've helped, there was a bit of corrosion on my hub
