    I've gone back to basics with Flows and will continue to go deeper into it, including with some of your suggestions and use cases (e.g. Sub-flows, Flows from buttons, etc) - let me know if this has been useful and if there is anything else you would like me to make a video on or what you have found useful in Flow :)

    Thanx for this great tutorial, Adam. I'm going to do the How To: Build a Simple Salesforce Flow video and exercise tomorrow.

      Best of luck. It can take a bit to get your head around the concepts but stick with it. Think logically outside of the tool then slowly try looking at other videos (like on my channel) that apply those needs/desires functionally into a real build of a flow. Have fun :)

    Adam, I don't think you can control the position of when Ads appear on but the timing of this one had you describe the "FlowEasy" with a smile and then cut to the ad. Timing was perfect if it was planned and serendipity if not. I enjoy your content as I'm learning Flow now.

      haha - I wish that was me, but alas, I'm not that clever, skilful, nor serendipity that kind!

    Your videos are great, Adam. Thank you very much!!!
    Regarding the "Trailblazer" comment (sounding a bit grand): I've thought about that one as well and come to the conclusion that Salesforce probably wanted to call people in Trailhead "Trailheaders". But that would have sounded mad, so they went for the more grand-sounding "Trailblazer" instead.

      IT's Salesforce....they will make anything sound more grandiose than it really is! haha

    Love your videos! Can you please create a video on validation rules on Opportunities (a couple simple and a couple complex examples)?

      Great suggestion! Validation rules are often overlooked but a great way to improve data integrity and guide users somewhat. Will add it into the schedule! Thanks again :)

    Hello,
    Im trying to build a flow “update recordsl depending on certain criteria,
    If a custom field that I created (date field) is populated then activate the order on the object order and another get records depending on the same entry; if the custom field is populated then create contract.
    I’ve tried everything and I don’t know what’s wrong, do you have any advice?
    Thank you!

    Very useful thank you! would you have any tips on any flow gotyas so tips on limitations or if you have multiple flows in a org how you can avoid hitting API limits or conflicting flows?

    • @SalesforceAdam
      @SalesforceAdam  3 года назад

      Thanks Mel - another great suggestion and something I'll look to put into the more advanced flow content. Have you found issues with this in the past?

    • @melpatil9580

      @@SalesforceAdam I have where the flow has been triggering along with a apex trigger and hitting API limits as a result especially when updating household account contact relationships in the Financial Services cloud.

    I am fairly new to salesforce flow just wondering if this has the capability to capture your clients' names, addresses, and phone numbers?
    Does it have the capability to contact by internet phone or email integrated into this program?

    • @SalesforceAdam
      @SalesforceAdam  2 года назад

      Hi Jenny, great questions.
      1. You can use flows to capture clients names, addresses, phone numbers by using a screen flow and adding it as a component to either a record layout/button (if for internal user use) or you could put on a Salesforce Customer Experience site (I think), or simply a standard Web-to-Lead form that can trigger a flow on the back to do something with.
      2. Contact by Internet Phone/Email - defo email, not sure about Phone someone. I would probably say no, based on the fact Internet Phone would mean a 3rd party application and CTI plugin to be used. Might be worth doing a google search - what would be the use case though? As you can do it by simply clicking a phone number in Salesforce (with a CTI partner application/service installed)
      3. Depending on your use case, you can actually integrate your gmail or outlook (exchange server) to Salesforce so your users are empowered to link and record information between the two. Check out these videos in case it might suit your needs:

      ruclips.net/video/wcm4Wv0jTfQ/видео.html
      Thanks again for the comments.
