This time, Liuyu managed to expand his vocal range as all the high notes was stable yet clear. This song is indeed energetic, but somehow it makes me want to cry. The lyric and melody are just like an narration of the difficulties that Liuyu has to overcome on his growing path. He has always been a strong youth that never complained of fear and fatigue. This young man obviously become more mature now with a promising future, just like a young brave and resilient general.
"Liu Ye Dao" is indeed a new raising star in the Chinese music industry. It's really an inspirational and motivational song that makes our hearts sob.

说实话，现在的年经人（成年人也是）很少有刘宇这样的人，就是坚持和当初的目标。虽然已经是国际男团的 C 位，合适很多的风格，可以用可爱，迷人的歌曲引起大多数观众， 但他还是用国风的概念做第一个 个人 EP。 这是一件很棒的事，我很佩服刘宇。希望将来他会一直如此坚定。这次的 EP 也算是很成功！！！ 恭喜！
Liu Yu truly put a mountain of efforts into producing this EP. I feel as if I were travelling back in time with him and immersing into a glorious story of a general. It's such a challenge to include so many traditional elements into modern song, it takes so much passion, blood, sweat and tears. This song has a sense of darkness, in sharp contrast with the brighter concept "Literature", I'm really looking forward to the next song. Congratulations to Liu Yu and the production team for bringing a masterpiece to the world. You guys have my respect!

Back again. This is really brilliant works. From the concept, to the music, to the lyrics, to his vocals, the dance and choreography, the acting, the filming and cinematography. It is many people's hardworking and especially thanks to LiuYu because he SLAY it all. That flower knife dance is real and use real knife. His acting is superb it makes me to have even more expectations for his future career.

I feel like I'm watching a movie. I like this concept of 柳叶刀, the overall color - two contrasting black and red colors match the MV's concept very well, and a total of 4 scenes are all very meaningful. Besides, I was surprised by Liu Yu's acting, it's very progressive, and the crying scene is amazing. Hopefully, in the future, Liu Yu can have the opportunity to act in a drama or movie, even if it's just a small role.
He did acting in dear herbal lord (and crying too). You should watch it. The series also good.

First, after watching the MV, I can feel Liu Yu is trying to show us the softness and strongest points in him to us. He wants to tell us that he can be soft or strong whenever he has to. He wants to tell us he knows how to face the world and that to tell us not to worry about him. After that, about where he plays the role of a warrior. If he really is the ancient warrior, the enemies will either intimidate him due to his pretty face or they will fall soft for him, hahahahahaha..... Just imagine it like that..... as in BL love story(those who know, know). I guess, the MV also tells us that even a strong man aka warrior do have the softness in them. All in all, I love this MV.
