- Music video I made using scenes from Star Wars for the song "It's the Fear" by Within Temptation. From WT's epic album "The Silent Force." I've always thought this song is about Anakin. Lyrics:

One part I find sad is in the Clone Wars show where Anakin is shown his future as Darth Vader and he says. No, no, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."

Most of what I'm seeing in the comments is how some people are saying that it's someone's fault that Anakin was inducted into the Jedi Order and that he shouldn't have ever been in there to begin with because of his actions and his past. To those people: do you even wonder what would have happened if Anakin NEVER started out as a Jedi or never became one to begin with? Do you ever think that maybe Anakin's whole Chosen One Prophecy had transpired exactly to how the Force had wanted it to happen?
Sure, Anakin showed alot of traits that would label him as a Sith. But even so, he was still as much a Jedi and a Human as the next Jedi or Sith. He also wasn't the most orthodox Jedi of his time. In fact, if you were to look at the Master-Apprentice lineage starting from Count Dooku to Qui-Gon Jinn to Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker and finally to Ahsoka Tano, you're pretty much looking at a long line of Jedi who are almost entirely unorthodox and they have struggled to stay on the path of the Jedi. Some more than others, if you get my meaning. If anything, this shows that they were more human than they were Jedi.
Also, let's not forget that all that Anakin had done when he became Vader, he thought he was killing the Jedi for Padme's sake. Sure his morals got twisted and such. But isn't such a thing often the danger of being a Jedi or Sith? Forsaking and denying the part of you that is a living and feeling person for the sake of a religious and mystical branch of the Force? If anything, the Great Jedi Purge was a miracle compared to what the Jedi would have done to themselves had their Order continued on as it had done (the Clone Wars PROVES this, just look at Barriss Offee and Pong Krell).
Also, the whole Chosen One Prophecy was open to interpretation. None of the Jedi knew what "balance" truly meant, not even Yoda. If anything and Judging from what happened in both Episodes 3 and 6, I believe that "balance" meant that Anakin had to destroy both the Jedi AND the Sith, leaving the Force to be able to make both the Jedi and the Sith better than what they once were. And let's face it, the Old Jedi Order was far from perfect. The same can be said for the Sith.
Good points, I agree. I think the Jedi/Yoda made a lot of mistakes, and
their whole detachment thing needed a correction. Luke is the balance,
good but not detached.
I totally agree with you mate .my thoughts exactly. also anakin saw his mother dying and he had dreams about losing his wife who was all he ever wanted .combine them with the fact that the jedi council never saw him a little sympathy, I don't blame him for drifting into the dark side
Denying and suppression emotion didn't help Anakin one bit. If he had been allowed to confront and deal with his emotions he wouldn't have been consumed by them.
The Jedi taught him to bury his feelings, and the sith taught him to give in and be consumed my them, for the sake of power. In the end, he never found happiness. No one had his best interests at heart. A truly tragic story. Both the Jedi and the Sith failed Anakin.
I can't help but wonder if Ahsoka could have kept him sane, had she stayed. She seemed like the only one that would have understood. =/
David von Doom I wonder that about Ahsoka too but in the end I think ppl’s theory that she never meant as Much as Padmé to him... Ahsoka wouldn’t be able to sway him.
Personally I blame Padmé a lot for Ani’s downfall as well, she downplayed all the horrific parts of him and told him pretty much it was ok because he was Only human and couldnt ask that much of himself that the ways of the Jedi demanded. She focused on the Good in him too much and then Ani cared too much for her.
Willing to do the the terrible things for the possibility of her survival, things she never would have encourged him to do.

Ahsoka and Ani as a pair would have possibly been a better match, if he ever would have seen her that way without Padmé or if he saw Ahsoka Only as a sister/daughter.
Ahsoka adored Ani and had him a bit up on a pedistal as the person creating miracles and who always could rescue her. But, she saw flaws too and questioned him better than Padmé.
Before some years I was breaking together screaming in pain and agony... only to the only reason how desperate I was...

They teach us the compilestatement of heros with movies like this. But the reality in our world is a bitter not sweat different one. There is no chance to be a hero by hate.
I was the smart... emotional blonde child... who always had trouble in his childhood and no real friends... I have found my Padme when I turned 18... When I was 18 she was 12... yet I deeply felt love for her... when she talked about having sex with me almost 2 years later I just left.. every single pinch of love and desire I felt for her I buried behind me in a reason of hate. Her family was richer than mine... my family was disbanded or death to this very moment.. I felt I wasn't good enough for her.. I thought I can live with out her... I fear so much to meet with other humans... yet the nights are the best when I wasn't alone on the daytime... I know I have to master my strong feelings... god gave me this strength because he know I can handle it... I really slept well today... I really feel better then I meet with other people.. yet I am full of fear... because I know what I am able to do..
