Thanks for showing a lot of casts with all the drifts and sets. Most videos often dont show the act of fishing so that one can connect their how-to words with the action

Tried your dorsey indicator today with the materials from your website. How do you get it to not sink as soon as it suspends the flies? No matter how much material is in the rubber band it sinks.
    Thanks,
    Nik

Yikes. Something is wrong there, my friend. A little yarn floats a LOT weight. Heck, you could even test that in a glass.

You differentiate between "wet flies" and "nymphs". Aren't these one and the same?

Wets typically have a soft hackle collar and they imitate hatching insects. Nymphs are typically imitating the insects prior to them hatching. I like to swing wets vs dead drifting nymphs. It’s dependent on time of bug life cycle but wets are a niche application of imitating that period of bug life when those bugs are emerging into duns. But you are correct in wondering the difference of the two. It can be tough sometimes

Ah, the lost art of the wet fly. Check out how to swing wets.. There are other ways to present them, jbut ust swinging wets in the traditional way fills a gap in techniques. Cheers..

Why people try to complicate things for nymph use a indicator or dry dropper when it disappears strike it’s that easy as the same for the dry fly

@@Whitecloud706 Well, there are a lot of different levels to the game, Right? Fishing can be as simple as you want it to be. And using your approach is a great idea. Just strike! Good stuff. But for many of us, we've seen too many misses, and we wonder what we can do to improve the hook up ratio. Incorporating these adjustments shown in the video make a big difference. Adjusting to the situation and making those changes is rewarding, because we see results. That's how we approach fishing. That's Troutbitten. It's fun.

    What rod is that?

      Hardy Marksman 1004. Current favorite.

@@Troutbitten Seen you use the ultralite LL. I’m in search of a new rod and read your articles. I live in the uk.
Is the Ultralight LL the best all round rod or the marksman.
