Can't find it, but does it use magnets for blade retention? I try to stay away from those. I have a Sharpshooter one from DLT and every time I pull out my knife, the magnet is so strong it pulls the whole sheath out of my pocket with it.
It is now my mission to find the perfect pocket sheath!

Handle looks like a fat large mouth bass in the belly. Love those fixed blades though. 121 would probably NEVER go totally dull thru regular use

Pete, are the grinds different on those two knives. It looks a bit higher on the Cruwear one (I'm watching on a very small monitor). Is that what Mr Creely classifies as a full flat grind? Just trying to get an idea for when I order mine.
Also, if they are different, which do you prefer?
Jannie Janse The Cruwears is a little higher to acheive comparable thickness at the edge, I think
and I would suggest the cruwear if I had to have one as a user alone, but I love the rex121 more cos of my steel fetish. Its complicated 🤷🏻♂️

Thanks for getting back to me, though. I'm hoping to get one in M390, if possible. With the Rex121 or even Cruwear I'd constantly be paranoid about rust. M390 is the perfect all-rounder.
I was just curious about the grind, because on the Creely website he says it's available in either a high saber or full flat grind. Wanted to know if his full flat was actually full flat all the way to the spine, since some makers claim full flat and then don't grind all the way up. I'll e-mail Mr Creely and clarify.
Definitely getting one of those clip sheaths, too. Just hope the shipping all the way to Cape Town isn't a killer.

I EDC fixed blades every now and then. Bad thing is you can't play with them. No fidget factor. Great vid Pete.

Bullshit. Been carrying my balls for decades and they haven't cured my ADHD at all. If anything, they've made it worse.

I scored a REX 121 custom, have you had a mako in 3v yet, if so what's your thoughts on it
You've a few vids on the Creely Mako in various steels and I'm planning to order one. If you could only have one for edc which steel would you choose? Rex, Magnacut, Vanax or other?

I met Gary at a recent knife show. I had no idea he lived by me! He was awesome, very nice guy. I ended up doing some trading with him and got a mako in m390/CF and I love it. I really want one in LC200n or Rex121 or Cruwear now... He only had them in m390 at the show sadly. I need to get a sheath made for mine still so I haven't gotten to carry it much yet but ive used it around the house and its awesome.
EDC with Aaron - nothing wrong with M390
I was about to say the same thing. Nothing wrong with M390. In fact, it is my favourite steel. Highly stainless, high edge retention and still pretty damn tough. Ideal for an EDC fixed blade.

Those are very nice looking blades. That guy does a really nice job. His shop is kind of interesting but his designs are great.
Spyderco is introducing a sprint run of the Military, PM2, Para3 with CPM REX45 steel and burnt orange G-10 scales. They say it's comparable to HAP40

I can't wait till my Rex version comes in. It's kind of the knife equivalent of driving a supercar. It looks great but I'll use maybe 10% of its capability. That Cru-wear version is beautiful.

Both great steels in their own way. Who will be first to make a Rex121 folder. Thanks for covering the other aspects of the knives. These are equally important. I have a small fixed blade I never use. Decent steel but the egos suck. Price seems fair, given what we pay for premium/upscale folders and others in this market.
Tony Canniffe think Spyderco did a run of rex121 folders. Looked like the K2 I believe.
