I have been playing tin whistle for 5 weeks now and I'm still trying to play the drunken sailor tune. I tried this tune and could actually play the song, although very slowly, but it sounded like the song. Thank you I really like these.
Ha! I actually taught that tune to a few friends in Wales a few weeks ago. I went to stay with them and their three kids in a holiday cottage and introduced the kids to the tin whistle. A couple other Welsh tunes that I learned recently that I would recommend sharing are Gorsaf y Gof/ The Blacksmith's Forge (the initial version I learned from was in F major but the lowest note was A, so I transposed it up into G major), and Nyth y Gwcw / The Cuckoo's Nest (in this case, the original was in D Dorian, i transposed it up to E dorian so it could be played more easily on a D whistle).
Life can often feel like a storm, casting us adrift amidst the turbulent waves of sorrow. Yet, within every tempest, there lies the promise of a brighter dawn. Just as the sun rises gloriously after the darkest of nights, you too will find solace and healing as time unfolds its gentle embrace. Allow yourself the grace to grieve, remember, and celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the boundless love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him. In this journey of remembrance, may you discover the hope that blossoms in your heart, guiding you toward brighter days ahead.
This is great! I have been working on Buttered Peas for the past month. I have been learning this tune and Black Dog at the same time. Thank you for this tutorial. Perhaps you could do Black Dog next. 😊
I really like this, it's so fresh sounding, fun & positive! I'm focusing on this years collaboration, but as soon as I've got that nailed down I'm going to try this. Thank you for posting!
Hello Stephanie, thank you very much for the beautiful song and all the other songs. My heart leaps and tempts me to learn. And I hope it stays that way for a long time. Do you know and like the fairy tale song " Three Whishes/ Haselnuts for Cinderella"? In German "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel".
Stephanie I love your videos. You make learning this whistle a lot easier. Can you tell us where you get your tabbed sheet music? It would make it easier to practice. I’ll understand if you don’t want to say.
@@BrianMcNamee-sj2di I make all my tabs. I work out each tube by ear and then create the tab sheets accordingly 😊 you can find a link under each video to the jpeg file that you can save to your device, or I also offer PDF format on my patreon which is easier to print.
@@bronte826 Thank you for your concern. Fortunately we've not been affected, and nor have friends/family in areas with some flooding, so I'm very grateful for that!

Definitely want to learn this one! Thank you!
What a fun little tune - I'm going to grab my whistle right now and give it a try! Thanks as always for the great tutorials.

Thank you for this and indeed all of you clips, they are a great help to me
A nice cheery tune.
Love the turns. The Lady has nice nails, of course.
Picked up a tin whistle last week and just started learning and I have no musical knowledge at all. Loving your videos for help!
@@JimMunro1 I didn't when I started, it's surprising how much you learn along the way. Just keep having fun with it, that's all you need to do ❤️❤️
@ thanks ☺️
This one is so fun 🤗
Sweet.
Nice upbeat tune. Well played. Not sure how your review will go, but i thought the whistle was a good one. .

I always wonder if you need like an inhaler or feel lightheaded after all this whistling!
@@StevenSeril sometimes if I use a low whistle with a lot of breath requirements 😅

Omg... is it necessary circulatory breathing for this? I didn't hear you to take a pause 😧
@@alexiniceland you can fit some breaths in here and there, in-between lines it at the end of each line 😁
