Nine Sols Gameplay
To those who think this game is too hard to continue: yesterday I tried story mode and was able to adjust the percentage of damage taken and damage done during the run, that’s AMAZING. you can basically make the game from easy to normal as you progress and hopefully improve.
please elaborate.. how?

I might have to tweak the damage sliders in story mode as I’m simply not good enough at these games to fully enjoy it. I have played it but bounced off it because of difficulty. Maybe I’ll go back to it and do story mode

Ji was such a cool boss. A bit easy but ur just felt so fun to fight. They better add a boss rush or something

Figure out patterns and focus on learning. It’s gonna be tough at the beginning. My advice is just to keep pushing. Once you get used to the basic mechanics, you’ll play a lot better
Yep the gestures of the monster/boss reveals a lot of what they're going to do next, and remembering the tempo of some fast-paced serial attack also helps.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, if you cannot wait to experience the lore or more of the game like me, you can always try story mode. The difference is only that you can adjust damage done & taken during the run. You can even slide it back to 100% (as normal mode) once you've got more familiar with the mechanics

Hard games never do, salty amateurs will always leave a dislike because the got smashed again and again by the first boss and can't cope with the fact that the game is just hard and have too much ego to turn on story mode

Looks like you are heading towards the True end,good job.
Just remember to clear the village subquest. I also suggest to clear the Chiyou subquest and Shanhai 9000 subquest.
For Chiyou, clear his shop to unlock a secret boss. For Shanhai 9000, collect all data chips. Remember to clear all requirements before engaging with the final boss because the last two subquests are at the final boss’ area

Ji has to be my fourth fave boss and third fave boss design. Tho at first I thought he was a weird human or a bear before I realized his hat was just pushing his ears down
unfortunately i probably won't be able to watch the next episodes, unless i manage to unstuck myself from the fight against ji...

If you're still stuck, the thing i can advise you is bouncing off the "jar" symbol it makes him drop a jar with items and heal for you.

Loved this game - very much considering buying it... AFTER Shadow of the Erd Tree.
You should buy it. Mythy doesn't explain all lore so even tho you're getting spoiled you still have some story to uncover by yourself. The combat itself is worth playing, the flow state you get when you get a boss pattern is just insane. Finally the game is 30 buck for roughly 30+h if you go for the true ending, to me that's a solid deal.
While i cant say that ji is one of the hardest bosses in the game, i can say that he is one of the most fun ones.
Totally agree this game is the best Metroimania after Hollow Knight too.
