This section of the zoo looks amazing. We have in the Zoo Zürich also a enclosure for the gelada, who lives together with the nubian ibex and the rock hyrax.
Am so happy that the san diego zoo finally has a sea animal known as leapord sharks. What's really cool is that the African penguins and leapord sharks are mixed together. Wow.
From the Smithsonian's Definitive Guide 'Animal', where I get most of my script info - "Although hyraxes resemble rabbits in size, genetic evidence suggests they are more closely related to primitive hoofed mammals."
I went to San Diego in July of 2018 for the Comic Con convention.I was able to see the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park. I would have to say the African Rocks exhibit is amazing you have see it in person. That exhibit is on same level as the Disney Animal Kingdom African safari section
I remember being one of the first few people to preview Africa Rocks. By that time, the penguin, crocodile, and lemur exhibit was completed. It took another 2 months to see the whole thing. I can't believe how much the San Diego Zoo has improved over time. Also, I remember some penguins being in Discovery Outpost while Africa Rocks was being built. So technically, you're kind of right.
I didn't want to say the Penguin thing because I also was there when they had them in the Children's Zoo (2015). So I was aware the statement was false, however, I just took the words straight from several articles and the zoo itself.
I'll be going to the San Diego Zoo in January and this just made me even more excited to see it!!! The trippy transitions were very cool btw. Incredible video.
Dude great job on the tour, your a huge inspiration to me and u inspired into getting back into going to zoos, also it's a shame that African leopards are rare in the us I wish we had more but I guess we are stuck with Amur, a ton of zoo mix, and 1 facility with north Chinese
I’m glad to see this video because I’ve been waiting for this for months and i love the video 😁 also if you ever visit the Columbus Zoos African Forest, we have the African Leopard
"The majority has been here before" I doubt it San Diego is like the final goal of zoo visits. It's expensive and very far away depending on where you are.
@@insidethezoo5912. I always liked the ad where they fused all those ads, and at the end, some cool dude yells "AFRICA ROCKS! COMING JULY FIRST AT THE SAN DIEGO ZOO!"
1. Hint: You can find the answer on the original map plans. 2. Merry Christmas to you as well! 3. Still curious to see how it will affect me. From my understanding after reading the options I had - it appears I'll only be limited to NOT having personalized ads. Guess I'll find out what that means.
Ah whoops. Deleted the GoPro footage of Grizzly Ridge on accident, most complete episode I could feature was PoA. Also with it being new = more views from the online zoo community.
Akron is my least favorite zoo. Nothing against it, it just happens to be at the bottom. Worst exhibit I've seen with my eyes is the Bear Line in Cincinnati.
Zoo Tours my least favorite zoo is Cleveland nothing really against it. But my least favorite exhibit is walroo station at Zoo Tampa it is just plain bad for an Australia exhibit worse than Cleveland’s and way worse than Columbus’s. It doesn’t have much variety it doesn’t even have Walroos if a animal shows up in the name they better have it. And they framed it to be really like an area for small kids instead of a regular exhibit.
If the aye aye house happened would it be part of Madagascar because aye ayes live in Madagascar but if it would have been dark in there would of you be able to get good film quality
Since it was in between Fynbos and West Africa, no, the nocturnal house would've been its own feature. Wouldn't be surprised if that's why it wasn't included. If the building existed then no, I would not have been able to film close ups. Which is a shame because I see that Cincinnati's aye-ayes are active every time I go, but not even my own eyes (or anyone's) can clearly see them. Unless I ever get an infrared camera, I'll never feature a Nocturnal House again.

I mentioned this before in another video but I love the dwarf crocodiles, but I am actually impressed with the Geladas.
This is #1 on my Zoo Bucket List! And wow, this exhibit looks AMAZING! Can't wait to see the rest of your time there!
Actually the hyrax is more related to elephants and aardvarks as well as manatees and duogon
From the Smithsonian's Definitive Guide 'Animal', where I get most of my script info - "Although hyraxes resemble rabbits in size, genetic evidence suggests they are more closely related to primitive hoofed mammals."
Oh okay
Dude compared to other people I’ve seen, you are really good at accepting this

Another zoo tours! The king has returned...
Your crazy

If you have a chance to go to the nearby Safari Park as well, there's a pair of platypus that's brand new as well.
@@joshuama789 Thanks, I did! Awesome place and so cool to see a platypus in the US!
Glad you're back! Boy was this worth the wait!!!
What did you think of the leopard enclosure? Is it good for photography?
Of all the new exhibits, the leopard area is the weakest. Like most the attraction, no, it is not ideal for photographers.
Finally I’ve been waiting for so long
About time! Great to finally see this one, glad to have Zoo Tours back up and running
Amazing video I absolutely loved it
Also I’m glad your back!
Welcome back we missed you
Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Africa Rocks really ROCKS.🤩🤩🤩
going to San Diego zoo this July, can't WAIT to check out this exhibit!
Yes!!
I love the San Diego zoo it’s the best zoo on earth
Dude great job on the tour, your a huge inspiration to me and u inspired into getting back into going to zoos, also it's a shame that African leopards are rare in the us I wish we had more but I guess we are stuck with Amur, a ton of zoo mix, and 1 facility with north Chinese
Know l see why it is the most famouse zoo. Lust so cool
There was an African Leopard at the Houston Zoo back in 2015, however he wasn't there in 2018, its sad that there are so few in US collections.
Thanks
Fantastic!
Watched this video when it came out but forgot to comment
Trivia Answer: Zebras and Warthogs
Brilliant video!
Fun fact: Before making this Africa Rocks, the first Africa Rocks had vipers, ibexes, striped hyenas, and either a turkey vulture or bateleur eagle
Been there 3 times before they unveil these new exhibits!! Great glittering Gasosaurus!🦖
1:58 a glimpse of Lele, the male panda from Memphis Zoo :)
He died at the Memphis Zoo. Neglect.
Ive been to this zoo only twice but Im still waiting for a baboon to say hes like a man just less advanced and his rear is huge
Excellent Video!!! I really enjoyed it! Also, the answer to the trivia question is zebras and warthogs.
Come to Omaha please!!!!!
I love the San Diego Zoo!!! Also, can you do the Bronx Zoo because it’s my hometown zoo?
I’m glad to see this video because I’ve been waiting for this for months and i love the video 😁 also if you ever visit the Columbus Zoos African Forest, we have the African Leopard
TigerMan 300900 yes the Columbus is my favorite zoo
Yess!!!!!
I loved it when I went there the Aquaticus part was closed
Will you do Kilimanjaro Safari area from Disney's Animal Kingdom?
He tried to visit Animal Kingdom but it was really difficult to.
The children's zoo is the newest addition now in 2020
I've actually been to that zoo as a baby. No lie!
Me too
I’m hoping Africa Rocks also includes Ethiopian wolves, banded mongooses, and golden bamboo lemurs
Your videos rock I am still trying to catch up.
Whatever happened to Mystique?
Are you going to the Congo at the Columbus zoo
"The majority has been here before"
I doubt it
San Diego is like the final goal of zoo visits.

Who does the animations, I love them
ZooMasterMark I believe they were made by the zoo themselves. These were ads made to promote the new exhibit.

What ssp do they have the black leopard labelled as?

@@ZooTours Thanks for the hint. The answer is Warthogs and Zebras.
Zoo tours you have got 3,000 subs
My uncle is a was driveling the plane to take the penguins here
Are king has come
According to San Diego Zoo Animals and Plants, they still only have 20 hamadryas. They have 12 females, and 8 males, including Elvis.

Ok thanks this is great good job keep it up
It is a shame the aye aye house didn’t happen I have never seen one in real life
Cool
I thought the pride of Africa would be the last thing you would feature there because I thought you would wait for phase 2
Phase 2 was the Madagascar section
Zoo Tours no for the pride of africa
Ah whoops. Deleted the GoPro footage of Grizzly Ridge on accident, most complete episode I could feature was PoA. Also with it being new = more views from the online zoo community.
Zoo Tours oh
Zebras and warthogs
You can also pronouce fynbos as f-ei-nbos
What is your least favorite zoo and exhibit you have been to?

People call black leopards and black Jaguars panthers or black panthers
Something that will never make sense to me
Lions, tigers, Snow leopards, jaguars and leopard are part of a groul called panthera (big cats)
What was that? Honey badgers aren’t even native to the “eighth continent”? Lol! 🤣🤔🤔🤔
Ooohh… Madagascar lol 🤤
