- Ingredients for Jaffna style Soya Chunks Curry | நான்வெஜ் சுவைய மிஞ்சுற சோயா மீட் கறி செய்ய தேவையான பொருட்கள்.
இரண்டு சோயா மீட் பக்கட் - 2 Packet Soya
யாழ் சமையல் தூள் - Yarl Samayal Chili powder
தேங்காய் பால் - Coconut Milk
அன்னாசி பூ - Star Anise
கிராம்பு - Clove
பெருஞ்சீரகம் - Fennel
வெந்தயம் - Fenugreek
கறுவா - Cinnamon
கடுகு - Mustard
ஏலக்காய் - Cardamom
தக்காளி (2-3) - Tommato (2-3)
பச்சைமிளகாய் - Green chili
இஞ்சி பூண்டு பச்சைமிளகாய் கலவை - Ginger garlic, Green chili paste
வெங்காயம் - Onion
றம்பை இலை - Rambai leaf
உருளைக்கிழங்கு (2) - Potato (2)
தேசிக்காய் - Lemon
உப்பு - Salt

Yarl Samayal ( Yarl Cooking ) videos are focused on the food of the Northern part of Sri Lanka, particularly Jaffna (யாழ்ப்பாண சமையல்), and tries to identify the age-old recipes that deserve more attention. Jaffna is home to traditional Tamil cuisine and people commonly confuse it with South Indian cuisine. Although both styles of cooking are largely similar, the food of Jaffna has its own distinctive taste, and coconut plays a vital role in almost all dishes. The food of the North, much like in the rest of the island, is a delightful mix of spices that will melt in your mouth and leave you craving for more.
