Most are backed by independent investors or sometimes even companies. In this case too, it’s no different. Antony Perumbavoor has been backed by many investors for the last 25 years. Yes, Mohanlal is a big reason behind that trust-but you can’t ignore how Antony manages things. He may have started his journey as a driver, but what he has achieved is no small feat. I hope you also know the fate of Mohanlal’s own Pranavam International, which produced iconic films like Bharatham, Kamaladalam, His Highness Abdullah, Kaalapani, Vanaprastham, etc. Despite the legacy and quality, the company suffered loss after loss. Against that backdrop, Antony starting a company and successfully running it for 26 years is a remarkable achievement. In business, 90% of companies shut down within the first 10 years. Of the remaining 10%, another 90% perish in the next 10 years. In that scenario, surviving-and growing-for 26 years is extraordinary. There is another uncomfortable truth many don’t talk about: having a lot of money does not increase your chances of success in the Malayalam film industry-if anything, it reduces it. Why? Because without strong money-management skills, surviving in a small and sensitive industry like Malayalam cinema is extremely difficult. The moment people realise you have deep pockets, you are likely to be taken advantage of. You can easily find examples around-no names need to be mentioned. Not only did Antony survive, he also scaled up the films and made them bigger. Come on-that’s vision. And the most inspiring part? He once worked as a driver. If you have talent, discipline, and vision, nobody can stop you.
Dear Mohanlal sir Please start an academy of theatre / cinema .. with school fo acting/ drama/direction/script writing anlso stunt choreography ( as you yourself a stunt choreographer)etc. you can bring high talents to teach . the young talents. If you start this people will be in line to get in. With you connections , even you can bring talents from Hollywood to teach.
