Nice comparison. I am not going to shoot a V3. I owned a Vertix and made the mistake of shooting the VXR last year and now I own a VXR. I am sure the V3 is a little better, but I am sticking with my VXR 31.5.
Bow technology moves faster than computer technology nowadays. I bought the VXR 31.5 last year, and at a $900 price tag for the VXR, unless Mathews is excepting straight trades, I think I'll stick with the VXR.
I have a V3 ordered but the Vxr would be shooting the same had you put a drop away on it! I'm upgrading from the original Monster and I know it wont shoot close to the same speed at 75lbs vs 83lbs and 29" 765grs. But I want the up grade and ease of how the new bows feel like kids bows to draw!! Cheers!
Thanks for the video. I'm a 26.5" draw and have a tough time finding videos where the producer shoots my draw length. Do you prefer the V3 31 over a 27.
Could you throw a drop away rest on that vxr to compare, or put a whisker biscuit on the v3. Whisker biscuits will take some speed. Not sure how much on average, but I know they put some extra drag on that arrow as she’s leaving. Curious how much that would even the speed up.
seems as if you were yanking the vxr back & slowly pulling the v3. if you would’ve pulled vxr slow like you did v3 i feel the draw cycle would be just about the same
@@chadbellamy4396 The Triax is my back up bow now. The Triax is a great bow. You had the Halons. Then the Triax, TX5, Vertix, VXR, and now the V3. So actually the V3 is the 6th generation. Which are all great bows, and all bows of the year.
@@demunbellyou are crazy, lol. Shoot some old PSE bows like the x force series or omen… those wanna go, especially the dna with 70% let off. I’ve never felt like the v3 wanted to go with 85% let off. Are you using the 80% mods maybe?
First off there is no difference between the 2 risers geometry. Dude has both in his hand and is not smart enough to lay one on top the other. Design is the same just different machining. Enough said on this review. Plus he said its smoother well he first states he shoots the 28 VXR and yes the longer bow will be smoother and quieter.
I apologize for the late response, I have been away from the channel for the last year while I have been building my house. In my experience, the difference in speed between a drop away and whisker biscuit in negligible, and is between 0 and 3 fps different at the most. I hear this a lot, so I will be doing a video showing this sometime this summer.

It looked like the draw back on the v3 wasn't as nice as the vxr?
Met you in Ohio (2021) at an undisclosed location haha. Got to give the VXR a few more FPS with the whisker biscuit

@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial wouldn't that put the speed between the two at around 270? Being that the draw length was 1/2" longer on the V3?

I love my vxr 31.5
How much difference is the string angle at 30” on both bows compared ? Is the v3 31 much worse ?
Hey this is parker Giddings and I was wondering what trigger are you using to pull back the arrow
That draw cycle looked pretty harsh. I don't think you'd get away with that in a treestand with a wary old buck at 20yds!
What about the 28 inch vxr vs 31 v3 since you said you liked the 28 inch vxr better than the 31.5

Whisker biscuit only reduces speed by 2-3 fps

No it is the 6th generation of that cam. First was the Halon. I said 4th but actually 6th.
What abt the Triax

Should have just used the single set of mods on both bows. Just swapped them out real quick😉👍🏿🏹 switchweight technology
V3 draw looked harrrrdd
It is not the smoothest, but it is a draw cycle that gets smoother as you shoot it.
It is super aggressive draw! Wants to send it forward as soon as u relax. I love and hate that!🤷🏿♂️👌🏿

Practically the same bow with a touch of difference of machining on the riser half inch shorter ata and the roller guards are different
What release is that
Hey Taylor, he usually shoots the Carter Wise Choice. I think that’s what it is in this video as well 👍🏻
I have a blue Wise Choice and love it.
Just shoot 29" draw lengths instead of your short draw lenght ... Doesn't matter if your comfortable just to do a short reveiw IMO..
Buddys trying to hype the v3
I dont have to watch this video to know the answer is no
I have the vxr 31.5 and I think it better to me
The mod system is stupid
dude your ibo speeds are out yout shooting the v3 with a drop way and the whisker on the vxr the whisker slows yout ibo speed down hahaha
