My suggestion was based on the audience, assuming a missionary is teaching young believers and a preacher is speaking to mostly lay people. NICOT has more interaction with modern scholarship, which may not be relevant to your ministry context. With either the NAC or NICOT on Genesis you can't really go wrong. Both are great choices. And may the Lord bless the good work you are doing! :)
Thank you for this! I just discovered your channel and website today and they’ve proven very helpful as I delve into deeper Scripture study.
It's my pleasure. I'm glad you have found some benefit. Thank you for commenting! May the Lord bless your continued effort to read and study His Word.
Thank you so much for these explanations and overviews. It really helps!
Great! Thanks for allowing viewers to comment and like the video. Very good reviews as well; subscribed :-)
I really like the Stone Art Scroll Chumash too (containing the 5 books of Moses).
I really like the idea behind the "Preaching the Word" series!
Definitely some variability in regards to readability amongst those.
What is your personal favorite and if you had just one to suggest to a missionary who teaches inductively and is a preacher at heart?
Kenneth Matthews (NAC) for an inductive approach in a ministry context.
@@BestBibleCommentaries Awesome! However, why NAC over NICOT? Just to give you some context, I teach at a Christian University and in the nations.
