This takes place in Poland (polish names on the map) and we do have a drinking problem here. People dying, losing jobs and houses, families getting broken, stuff like this. My life has been affected strongly by the alcohol (I'm polish) and basically everyone I know had the same or has a close one who went through something similar. It's just a quick background on the message the game is trying to send. Also, @Drae, please check in google translate the pronunciation of "Zalesie" - you will laugh at how it actually sounds ^^
Fun fact - the game supposed to imitate what rural Polish village after WWII looked like. It is pretty accurate from what I've seen and it brings back some sentiment towards my childhood (as in 80s and early 90s you could still experience very similar lifestyles in rural areas). Also, Zalesie is actual real village in Poland ;)

i love how grim this is to begin with, but also how realistic it is. i was trapped by alcohol after my wife died. it took 5 years and taking my daughter, leaving the city i grew up in to get away from it. it can be bad stuff.

Huh, this is oddly interesting for me. My father's family immigrated from Hungary ~1954-55. He was ~7 years old, and his family were dirt poor farmers there… like each kid getting a slice of bread and being told to go find some wild berries to eat with it. So, this game honestly seems a little on the optimistic side. Not like you could just go off doing things willy-nilly to feed you or your family, considering it was during the Soviet occupation. They kept a pretty close eye on what each farm had and left them with barely enough to scrape by. It does give a decently bleak atmosphere, though.
Usually if you have a severe alcohol problem that you NEED to drink everyday or you'll get withdrawals, you'll need to go get professional help like a detox center. If you cold turkey, it's very fatal with seizures n whatnot. Same with benzos. Those 2 are the only drugs that can kill you with withdrawals.. it's very sad. Maybe in this game you have to tamper..? Maybe there is a clinic idk lol.
Its called a help or tip that popped up if you actually read them it explains how things work there's going to be alot of bless your heart moments on here like when you realize selling all the junk is a no no
Oh, and it is not Zalessi, it is Zalesie, just add a hard "e" at the end like in "the". It will sound weird and hard to pronounce "s" and "i" separately so you just have to join those two sounds togeather into a sound that does not exist in english - i bet it will be fun to hear you try ;d
Seems like this is kind of either a Life Sim with a Little City Builder or business management based on the town Development screen. Def looking to buy i just hope it doesn't get abandoned. So many time these little indie Games Snag on to something great then it blows up from a youtuber and they take the money and run smh

You can put your food/cooking items in the closet that's straight ahead when you walk in the front door.
IIRC you can use the grenades for fishing if you just toss them into the water. It's much faster and yields more fish then the fishing rod

I played farming, simulator, 22 and 19 and they have new mods well for 22. Anyway they have a fire mod.
